Wow! #2 on Bing!
I am so excited how quickly my last post is ranking! I am on the first page of search results on Google, Yahoo and Bing (in fact two of my posts are both on the first page for the same keyword)! On Bing my post is #2! I have a few #1 posts but those are for more obscure keywords. #1 here is Jackson Galaxy's own website...then my post! I am above Amazon, Chewy.com and ebay for this product!

I guess I need to go back and update my old posts some more and get additional comments for them too. I have noticed my old posts are languishing even while my new ones do well.

Wow congratulations! That's soooo cool! Actually, that's something I've wondered about recently, if a post doesn't rank, do you know if it's possible for it to start doing well later, when it's old? The most important thing here is your success posts on #1! Well done :D
Hello Soraya. I just added that post 5 days ago so it was fast! Yes, old posts can rise up at any time. Many successful members here have said they had times when old posts finally rose up for some reason (it is hard to say why with the hundreds of factors that Google ranks by).
Once you get to a certain point, everything can rank faster. My old posts have sunk but I am happy that at least some of my posts are doing well! As more do well, they will help pull the old ones up. This is especially true if we use internal links between our posts. I should go back and add more internal links. My really old posts don't have links to my new posts.

I don't know if there is a secret. I guess it is a combination of good SEO, my site building up more credibility with Google, a good long tail keyword, getting comments (although it only had 8 at this point!) and the fact that my site attempts to answer specific questions, solve problems and give honest personal reviews. I don't know what else may account for it!
