What Google likes best in post updates!
https://moz.com/blog/google-fr...
I ran across this great article on Moz.com, "10 Illustrations of How Fresh Content May Influence Google Rankings" on how updating our content affects Google ranking. We know updating posts is good but does it matter if we swap out a picture, change a link, replace an ad or update our text? Do some of these matter more than others? Does it matter how often we make changes?
I did not know the answers to these questions specifically.
Here are a few points from this article but I suggest you look at it yourself!
Factors Google likes more in content updates:
Frequency (don't just do one and think you are done forever), consistency is important.
Scope (more is better than less). A single change like swapping our a link or ad may not even be recognized!
Changing text may be better than changing other things like links or things in your sidebar or comments.
Just like updates make your page look better, the freshness of the pages that link to your page help also. If all your links are to old, static pages they won't help you like links to regularly updated pages.
Also, age is good or bad depending on the topic. If a topic is something trending then new is best. If it is something old like a historical fact, then older content is more respected by Google. An old page that has updated content is likely the best of both world's in my understanding.

Thank you Jessica for this "update"
Was already thinking to do some work on posts as with time one's writing style and also layout ideas change.
I hope you and your husband are doing ok.
Greetings from the south of Spain.
