What a Beautiful Day of Lake and Roses!
We went to the lake today and it was beautiful! I just discovered this area last month and I have already gone 6 times since it is only 10 minutes away. I am loving it! The wild roses are blooming and the air smells wonderful. Yes, that is my picture above.

This is just what I have needed for so long. A great, close, beautiful place to get outside since we moved and I lost all my old spots! We live 20 minutes out of the city but somehow we ended up in an even more urban environement. We are in a small town, but right in town now with McDonald's literally a block away as well as Arby's, the grocery store and Pizza Hut. I am not used to this kind of location and I have been crazing outdoor space like crazy!! I need it!!!
There are also wild geraniums in bloom which are purple and huge yellow water lillies on the lake edge. It is so nice.
I hope everyone has been doing well here. I hope to be back on more and working on my websites.

Yes. Thanks Carol. Unfortunately I could hardly move today. I think my Epstein Barr virus is active again judging by the telltale headache at the top of my head. .
I know what you mean. I can hardly get out of bed when it is active. First time I had it, I had the worst sore throat I've ever had in my life, including strept throat!
The supplement Lysine really helps keep it under control. I had forgotten to take it for a few days and with all the other stress and sickness going on I think it had been trying to get me for weeks. This was it's chance. I couldn't leave the house yesterday it was so bad and I had to nap which I rarely do. The headache lasted for a day and a half. I took a bunch of lysine and it is better now. Lysine is an anti-viral.
Yes, I take it to prevent fever blisters and in copious amounts if I have forgotten to take it and get one! Never thought about it helping EBV, though. Thanks, Jess.
I use SuperLysene, but can't get it here. Meant to try to find it when I was in Asheville, but forgot. Guess I'll have to try to find it online.
Great idea, Jessica. I know of several people who have EBV and struggle to get through the days. (Just like us!)
I stopped at Whole Foods Market today and got some SuperLysene. I use it to prevent an outbreak of fever blisters. Can't find it here in Waynesville or Maggie. There are 2 Health Food stores, and neither one of them carry my brand. They said they could order it, but I need it NOW! Glad they had it in Asheville. Carol
Luckily it is super common so I can find some brand even at the grocery store! I went to the natural foods store to find a more concentrated brand last time though. I realized I probably could use a higher dose. Glad you found the brand you wanted.
Me, too. Two reasons for that...one is they're coated and much easier to swallow, and they work better for me.
I am glad I got the 1,000 mg ones this time. I think it is helping to have the higher dose and nice to take fewer.
I know what you mean. I take so many supplements, I wish more of them came in the higher doses!
That is one reason I like finding the minerals I need in concentrated (ionic) liquid form. I put the magnesium, potassium and zinc drops all in water together and take it all at once. That saves so many pills per day!! I reviewed the magnesium drops on one of my posts. I have not reviewed all of them yet.
Good idea to use the liquid and take them all at once. It's more available to the body when absorbed under the tongue, as well.

I still remember all of your hard times...when things were seemingly devastating...having to move, jobs, illnesses and all; and I also remember thinking that you were in for blessings galore because of your beautiful heart and appreciation of the small things in life. I love being right :)
Thank you Robin. It is still very hard and sometimes it is all I can do just to get out. My ankle has been very bad due to arthritis and auto-immune flares recently but it is finally feeling better today after I found some new products that help and also allergy medication since I figured out the allergies must be exacerbating my immune system. It is all I can do just to get through a week at work but I am managing.
Sorry Jessica, about your physical challenges... I am glad that you are finding some products to help relieve pain and discomfort. I am also thankful you found such a beautiful place nearby!
Yes, it is so nice! I couldn't leave the house yesterday though. I think my Epstein Barr flared up since I was so focused on the allergies and arthritis I forgot to take Lysine which works as an anti-viral and keeps the EB at bay. I had the symptomatic headache right at the top of my head for a day and a half.
