Well That Was Awesome! Sales Run Over
I had 13 out of 14 days of sales recently on Amazon which was awesome! Yesterday I didn't have any sales and my traffic is going back down a bit. I am not sure what happened but I'll take it!
Others have mentioned an uptick in traffic and sales in the last few weeks. Have any of you noticed this?
I really don't know how much was coincidence and how much was possibly due to some greater factor. My traffic, rankings and sales all went down after the June Google update and I don't know if the uptick was some rebound after that downturn or in some way related. I also don't know if there is some effect outside of Google that has to do with the time of year or Amazon Prime Day (though that was before the uptick occurred). This period of increased sales ran from July 24th to August 6th. My previous longest run of sales every day also started on July 24th last year! It was only 6 days long however.
My conversion rate for that period was over 26% as well which is awesome.
How are your Amazon sales doing or your traffic and rankings in general?

Sales are picking up again but I had a big drop 3 weeks prior. Would be nice to have a crystal ball for what lies ahead. Oh never mind, I forgot, all I need is faith!

I am glad they are picking up for you! A lot of people have commented on drops and upticks lately but the time periods are all staggered.

Sorry Fran. I really feel there is something else going on. How can it just be coincidence my best sales periods started on July 24th both years? Why did my traffic and rankings suddenly all raise up after being way down since early June?
I just wish I understood it better.
My Amazon results since June have been similar to previous months. In saying that, one month will be productive and the next not so productive. It's been that way since I started earning from Amazon a few years ago.
The best results recently were July with 216 Clicks and 43 ordered with a conversion of 19.91%.
I have Amazon on only one website and that site is in need of attention, in a big way!

I have only 1 active site promoting Amazon products, Jessica, and that's my schnauzer site.
I do have Amazon products on my Christmas site, but that is non-functional as in no SEO or any other activity. Maybe I will reactivate it. It's all about time, as it is with all of us WAer's!
Just started adding the amazon links in so no change yet in the traffic. Working on being patient.
I love Amazon's program for affiliates. It has worked very well for me. I hope you get some sales soon!

I don't use Amazon so I cannot help you there Jessica. However I just know that whatever happens you will always come right back up again.
It is as it is consistence will always pay off. Even with the up's and the down's.

Not sure about your niche, but it's currently back-to-school season if that helps clarify anything. :)
I have two niches. One is cat health and behavior products and the other is human health. Most of my sales are from my cat site which is more established.
I thought about back to school but none of the products purchased had anything to do with kids or school.
