Very Hard At Work On My Site Again, New Affiliates
It feels so good to be back at work on my first website...my original, my pet site! It has been a long time but I am back! I have signed up with several new affiliates and I am in the process of switching out all my affiliate links. No more Amazon at least for now. I still feel Amazon is a great way for beginners to get up and running easily. It is harder to scrounge around to lots of different affiliates if you have a broad niche.
I am happy with FlexOffers so far. They are an affiliate platform like ShareASale or ClickBank. They are pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It was all new to me though since I used mostly Amazon in the past. I tried a few others like ShareASale but never had much luck with them. Amazon was where all my sales came from.
FlexOffers has a very large affiliate pool to chose from. They have over 10,000 affiliates. Yet somehow they still don't have all the ones I need! Does anyone know of a good grocery store or large department store (that has pantry items) that has a good affiliate program? I have looked at WalMart but they only offer 1% commissions! Target looked ok until I saw they don't offer commissions for grocery items and bunch of other catagories.
Costco is an option but not like a regular store. I tried Kroger but they don't offer the option to order the pantry options I need links for. I tried Albertsons, Safeway (low commissions), Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and on and on and on.
For household appliances I see J.C. Penny has good commissions (much higher than Lowe's, Home Depot etc). I don't know how much longer Penny's will be around but I will see how it goes.

We had our furnace start to die while hovering around zero Farenheit outside. We are ok for now but will need a new boiler. Not a great start to 2021 but I am still really happy to be making progress on my site!

I have a few more days before I can get back into things. My boy goes to USA on Thursday and Im devastated he's going but also elated that hes going !
So Im spending the last two days not worrying about anything until hes safely on the plane and away to uni. We are in lockdown so a lot of home time for me. No swimming, no nothing but looking after waterlogged chickens, making stuff for my product site and a new site as tennis mom. Im so glad to hear you are back and getting on. I am not using amazon at all on my tennis mom site, waste of time. Going to wait until I have enough content and then get 'proper' affiliates. Amazon is done as far as I am concerned, except of course for my no content books ! 😂😂😂😂
Hi Helen, I am sure you have mixed feelings about your son leaving! Does that mean you will be alone?

I will have to look into FlexOffers. I still use Amazon too much. It is sometimes hard to find the products you are looking for elsewhere.
Have you looked at Pepperjam? It's another "umbrella company" for affiliates, and I like some of their choices of companies.

I was not working on my websites at all. I was busy with my regular job, our rental business, getting Covid, my husband in the hospital etc. My sales all ended last spring when my affiliate status was shut down by Amazon. I am back to work on my sites now though and it feels so good!

Hi Jessica, Glad to see 2020 finally come to an end, not the greatest year for many of us. Glad to see you back at it. Always remember all you can do is all you can do. Tomorrow will be another day for more dedications, but when you give an honest effort, what more can you do.
I find it hard to get back into the grove, unsure if it is me not smoking or just lack of motivation; either way not good, but not smoking is a good thing.
Let make 2021, a great rewarding year for all of us. Sorry to hear about your furnace.

Hi Joseph. I am about to head to the store to buy more heaters since we will have no heat all day while they replace the furnace. That is a bit daunting since we have an entire 4-plex to heat!
Luckily we have a bit of money left from our disaster loan from our 7.1 earthquake to pay for the new boiler!
I hope you are feeling more motivated today and that carries into the New Year! I was unmotivated for months regarding my sites. I know how it feels.
