The More Things Change the More They Stay the Same.
Just a quick update here. I am still busy...yeah, that doesn't seem to be changing does it!?
I am still busy at work and still busy with the rental property chores.
I am also still very happy to be a member of WA and so excited at what 2019 will bring for my online business.
I am also happy to continue to meet wonderful people here! I just met a cool gentleman who is a fellow cat lover! Yay cat people!!
I am very excited to have over $110 in sales on Amazon yesterday!!!! Yay. That will bring me almost $9 in commissions since all the products are in my pet niche which is in the 8% commission bracket at Amazon.
Getting two posts added to my sites in the last week also makes me feel good though strangely my traffic went down when I added them. I am sure this is a lag and they will benefit me soon. Adding posts is always a good thing (as long as they are good posts).
So, I can't complain even though I am busy.
It has been very cold (around zero F) this week. The frost is thick on all the tree branches and cery pretty. It is so thick (about an inch) that it looks like snow.
We are still having aftershocks as well. A 4.7 yesterday.

Thank you Melissa! I really appreciate that! I did one post there and one on my cat site. My nutrient site is such a baby with so few posts. I have a ton of ideas but it is hard to find time to keep up with both.
Well congrats on the sales it is always good moving forward. I have yet to make any money as of yet, but we don't ever know what will happen next. If you don't mind me asking where do you live. That is cold wherever you live. Here in North Carolina we are expecting an ice storm. I guess I need to get an Amazon site going or something. At least you are making money, but with so many members trying to sale WA it is hard to get a piece of the action. I make my own wine, do you think that would be a good niche? At least I could start making money,it is hard trying to make that first dollar with affiliate marketing. I am sending traffic to Wa but not getting any sales, maybe tomorrow. I am watching my wine brew as I am writing this reply. I could put together a wine making kit very cheaply and with recipes (hillbilly spelling)

We are in Alaska. This is cold even for us in recent years. Our winters are generally warmer in this part of the state (we are not up North where it gets super cold).
I would love a small wine site like you are describing! I think that is really neat niche. I would do keyword research first though and see what the demand is before starting it. How many people are searching for that and what is the competition?
I don't have a WA promotion website but I do have some premium referrals. Most are friends and family though. They have local businesses (like a general contractor) and wanted a good website. I get a few random referrals from posting our links (the WA provides for all of us) on social media.The key to that is to build up a good sized following first so you are reaching more people. I think. My Twitter is mostly about cat stuff (my first niche). I repost lots of cats and dogs that are in shelters and need homes and I post whenever I add a new post to my website. Then when I started posting about "Do you want to start your own business like I did?" and added the link to WA, I would get some interest. I always make sure to add a good image to grab people's attention.
You can also advertise locally to try to get any local businesses interested if they may want a website, a better website, better hosting for their website etc.

Oooh, it's yummy! A delicious hot drink made of red wine and spices :(cinnamon, cloves etc) Have a look online, for a recipe. From Europe - Germany, Austria, Switzerland and others no doubt.
Oh, we call that mulled wine.Yes, good but unfortunately I can't have it. I recently figured out I can't have red wine!!!! So sad. It is one of the things that makes my knees swell up and turn red. I seem to be able to have white though. It is the tannins in red that I am allergic to.
I make mulled cider though. Apple cider with the same spices.
Oh no, that is a pity. Don't worry, I'll have some for you :-) When it gets cooler here that is.

Yes, I normally just do it at the holidays (add cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and whole allspice and let it simmer) but I should do some now! You can also add oranges or orange juice too.
