Maybe I can finally go to bed!

I forgot to put all my ice packs in the freezer this morning when I got up. They were all still under the covers tonight. So, I had to wait a few hours hoping they will freeze in time. I can't really go to bed without them. I could of course but I would wake up in pain with red, swollen hips and knees from the heat of the bed and blankets. Heat is my ultimate enemy since I have chronic bursitis for the last 5 years. I cannot have any heat on them for any period of time. I wish I had bed with holes cut out around both hips and holes in the blankets for each knee! With enough ice packs I am fine.

Time to go fill up the old ice bag with ice cubes and scavenge three ice packs so I can finally go to bed.

Rest well jessica. With that and the long days and nights, living in Alaska can be like livingin a biosphere!

Yes, it can! I am lucky though, I can open the door at night and see the northern lights!

Good afternoon Jessica,

That is a nuisance to have to sleep with ice packs. Have you thought about investigating CBD oil? People seem to get relief from pain.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

My thoughts entirely, but its my niche so I didnt want to say anything. Hit me up for info if you want @Swangirl cuz chronic bursitis = chronic inflammation and that is your most dire enemy.

Good evening Linser.

I have a health website but have a page on CBD as we watched the Sacred Plant video series. Our cat and dog get it and we do too.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Yes, I have many forms of inflammation. The bursitis is the most persistent and disruptive though. I have figured out how to manage tendonitis, inflammation in my eyes and many others.

My cat gets it (not oil but capsule form)...I have never tried it yet though.

Yes, I have thought that would be good to try.

I am going to be trying sulfur and zinc next since those seem to have great promise. I also want to try apple cider vinegar...and CBD.

Good Morning Jessica,

There is a new text on the website and a lot of videos, have a look.
I have also written my latest WA post.
I hope you will find a solution as you are too young for such a burden. Have you checked your food? ever thought of going gluten-free?

Yes, I have tried gluten free. It helps somewhat but is not the whole cause.I am also allergic to peppers (including bell peppers), sugar, sensitive to dairy and many other things. There is no easy solution when you have auto-immune disease. Part of it is from food, part of my problems are nutrient deficiency, some is genetic, some is from a viral infection which has no cure. I have Epstein Barr in the active form. Many people are carriers only and the virus is dormant. In some of us, the virus is active and attacks us when we are weakened from other problems. So, with auto-immune disease, when my immune system is overworked the virus comes out of dormancy and attacks me. It is very hard to balance all these things. If I have milk or sugar or too much starch then the candida goes crazy and makes everything worse as well. So I have to avoid those things.

I am also sensitive to fried food, any spicy food etc. etc. and these will cause inflammation. When I had food allergy testing done I was allergic to most everything except for meats, fish and shellfish. I was allergic to wheat, sugar, coffee, eggs (badly), milk, even some fruits and veggies, some nuts, yeast and on and on and on. I can't have oatmeal anyway so with no wheat, no milk, no eggs, no oatmeal etc. breakfast was very difficult. I am used to unsweetened, almond coconut milk now thank goodness!

That sounds bad Jessica. I understand with such a long list of things you should not eat it can get difficult. I have a couple of PDF's I will get to you by email, you might find some useful info in it. I must also see if I have this article on Stevia, one also has to be careful what type one uses.

You will hear from me, Taetske

Thanks Taetske.

Sleep well and stay cool.
Trevor

Thanks Trevor.

It must be hell trying to get some rest in your situation :( Is there a possible recovery in the pipeline?

I have auto-immune conditions and there is no cure for those yet. I have learned a lot to manage them though. I keep trying different things and hoping I will find the magic combination.

I didn't realise it was that bad. I sincerely hope you do come across the magic combination soon!

I am really sorry, Jessica. Have just sent you a PM with the information I promised.:)

Thanks Vera

You are welcome. I do hope it will help.:)

Yes, very interesting. Thanks.

:)

I hope you sleep well.

Thanks.

Wow Swangirl, that's an x-ray of your teeny weeny bedroom.
Hope that there are holes for your knees and hips while sleeping.

Write a content petitioning your grievances to the specialists.

Thank you.

I wish you a great night Jess

Thanks. I was ok in the end.

Wow, I've never heard of that. Is it an inflammation in those areas? Sounds painful and uncomfortable :(

I hope that you can find enough ice to get some sleep :)

Sleep tight Jessica,
Marlinda

Yes, bursitis is inflammation of the bursas which are like cushions near the joins. When they are irritated they swell up and get very painful. Heat, pressure and overuse (similar to tendonitis) can trigger it as well as auto-immune conditions in my case and food allergies. I have some of all of the above! They are always irritated to some degree in my hips but sometimes much worse than others and sometimes irritated in my knees but those ones are more sensitive to foods and heat.

Rest well Jessica and I pray that you have a painless night. God Speed.

Thank you!
