Getting Back on Track!
My Wordpress email issues appear to be fixed! Yayyyyy! Site Support said they didn't do anything but it works today and it didn't yesterday!
I have not finished the Gravatar update yet but I was able to add the new email address (both the forwarded one and the non-forwarded test one I created yesterday) to Gravatar. The confirmation emails popped up right away! I could not get any email through yesterday let alone the Gravatar confirmation so I still have no idea what the problem was. I could send but not receive email in Wordpress.
So, the new addresses are added, confirmation is sent. I had to change the email for my new User account back to the email I wanted in the first place before all this happened. Jessica@nutrientcures.com. When I log in to my website however it says the email change is "pending". I don't know how or when it will get updated. It has been many hours already.
Once the email is changed, my Gravatar should be there.
What a slow down, but I have learned more about Wordpress email, passwords, forwarding, Gravatar etc. along the way.
Thanks again for all the suggestions,
Jessica

Kudos for toughing it out and wading through it, Jessica. I've far more energy and patience for the tech challenges than for the web and software voodoo. I'm thankful when stuff suddenly starts working, but the fact that I don't know why makes me crazy.
I've not had many issues with Wordpress email or Gravatar, but maybe I've suppressed those memories. Anyway, glad they started behaving for you; I'll re-calibrate future expectations accordingly.
It sure does feel like voodoo. Don't know why it stopped working, don't know how to fix it and don't know why it started working again!!
I am happy you got things back in order. I ,too, wonder how it happened if you didn't do any thing else to fix it. Scott
Yes, I am still trying to figure it out. Maybe the Wordpress email was not working around the same time I was trying to get the Gravatar email and sent myself the test email?

Some times the problems add to our IT skills as frustrating as it is. All the best
