Feels much better to have a long new post and new affiliate!
I was feeling so discouraged lately since I hadn't created new posts on my site in a while. My traffic was ok but lower than it used to be and it just seemed I was spinning my wheels! I requested comments, updated old posts and found ways to get a little done but not adding content for weeks is a real boulder weighing everything else down and it is hard to overcome!
I finally completed a new post yesterday and it is my longest one yet. I am also signed up with a new affiliate for the product.
My problem is that I only review products I actually use and I don't review a product until I have used it long enough to really be able to recommend it. So, when I have a new product to try I just don't have anything to write about unless I address a different topic (not a review) or revisit an old topic again. I can't afford to go out and buy new products all the time either so sometimes I am torn between getting something to try and wanted to save money.
I found a new supplement that works for my kitties and it is allowing me to stop using an over the counter pharmaceutical product that I was concerned with using long-term so this is a major milestone!
I am also an affiliate of this product so I am diversifying away from just Amazon! It felt good to be stepping out in a new direction! I really like Amazon and I think it is a great way for beginners to get started but there are other avenues to consider if you want.
It feels great to try a new affiliate program! Like a fresh chapter for my website.
Onward and Upward!!

Awesome Jessica! Fab idea to add another affiliate program. Well done on your long post too. Onwards and upwards. :)
I'm following in your footsteps, Jessica. I have finished two new articles for my site and added a link to a new affiliate as well. I'll blog about it in an upcoming post later.
Good for you branching out. It gives me hope that there is more to life than Amazon. Kitty is adorable! :-)
Thanks Wendy. That is my boy who needs many of these supplements. He is the sweetest creature on Earth but he has some health challenges.
I really like Amazon but this one has a 20% commission and I am using the product anyway so why not? It is a non-THC cannabis supplement made for pets that helps with so many problems. Pain, cancer, anxiety etc. but for my boy it is digestion. I have never used these kinds of things myself so it is kind of ironic I am giving it to my pets but oh well, whatever works!
Good, glad I can help. If you feel stuck you can either dig in or try something else for awhile, just make sure you do something!
I started my site based on products I already used anyway so it didn't cost anything to start. The problem is I am running out of products to cover!
Hi Jessica!
I have an idea that you might want to consider for your pet site niche and that is to promote Digital Download information on Pets, Pet Training etc etc etc....from ClickBank?
They have many, many great animal experts sharing their expertise and endless Membership sites too!
In fact, have you considered adding a Membership aspect to your site?
ChrisScott (The Teddy Bear) is currently releasing his Trainings on Membership Sites here at Wealthy Affiliate...he is accepting 50 WA Members to train...
I have many other ideas for you to monetize your wonderful site if you are interested...
Barb
Thanks Barb, I would love to hear your ideas. I am hesitant to create a membership site now since I am struggling just to do the basics and I would not want to overpromise and underdeliver as they say. I have a regular job and can't make this a full-time job yet.
I was just checking out his site this morning though! Funny you are mentioning it now.
Haha. You're way ahead of most of us on our website. I will be happy when i will have at least 100 posts or 200 :-)

Well done Jessica. Have you considered walking into a pet store and taking a photo of you touching the sample products on display and then writing a review? It's an option anyway. Good luck with it.
I want to only review products I use but that is a good idea for items I might not be able to get in the future or comparison products. Thanks..
