Embrace the Suck, It's Temporary.
Watching the survival shows on TV they always talk about getting through tough times with the attitude of "Embrace the Suck"...as in, realize it is rough but just move on! That seems to be what I need to do lately! My rankings are terrible. Everything seemed to be picking up and but not enough to counteract the downfall that was occuring due to my lack of posting and interaction on my sites.
So here is the full, depressing result! Over the last month, the net movement of my keywords/post titles (this is not all of them but the ones I have entered into Wincher) is a decreasae of over 900 places! Yikes!!!!!! That is terrible.
If I change the ranking period to one week, here is the result:
This is especially annoying since I started my push last week to post to Quora every day etc. to boost my traffic.
However, things seem to have picked up a bit today over the last week...so maybe things will swing back up again! Don't get discouraged, it all swings up and down so if you are really far down, it might be close to moving up again!
The worst thing we can do is get discouraged and let that slow down or stop our production. Don't do that! Keep plugging away! Things will pick up.

Just keep working hard I have been away for a month working on another project got that done and now I am back on working on my sites and working hard. Still haven't made any sales as of yet still working on that part and now working on driving traffic to my sites. I hope that things will turn around for me and soon. I just keep plugging away at it. Don't worry be happy and things will work out for you.

Thanks Marmar. I tapered off and am paying for it now. I am happy overall though. My main site did well even though I neglected it this year.

if it is it may heve been hit with the last google update.
give it a bit of time and it may recover- their take - keep putting up good quality content.
in the 'your money or your life' update, health and money sites got hit quite bad.

I have an idea for one and started it but never put much time in since I knew I didn't have time to dedicate to three sites yet. It is not "live".
My WA referrals were all incidental or from friends and family.

My free version seems to have ended finally. I am on the free trial period of the paid version now. Soon I will have to actually pay for Wincher. It has been very handy.
I'll go back and play around with the Wincher some more. I did receive some interesting data back and I definitely need to work on my old content.
I've been using Jaaxy's Site Rank and I do like that one.
I don't remember, do you have the full Jaaxy or do you use the free version? I just have the free so it only shows the top 10 spots on the search engines. Wincher shows the top 100.
Take the long view .. I personally have seen too many swings to believe the stats that are reported. I am dubious about their accuracy but the long view (averages over time) will give a pretty good idea of results. It is like weighing yourself every day or once a week ... the once a week will give you a much more accurate result than the ups and downs during the week.
Yes, thank you. Those are good points. I am happy with were I am overall. I set a new record for sales last month so I can't complain. I just need to keep plugging away.
