At The Bottom of The Roller Coaster Again

As anyone who has been here long knows, this business is truly a roller coaster until you get established. There are exilerating highs and crushing lows. A few things go well and you feel on top of the world. Then you may feel like the rug is pulled out from under your feet and you fall to the ground. You lay there wondering why you even bothered in the first place. You try to remember the feeling at the top and pick yourself back up and start sloooooowly climbing back up the slope.

Once again I am at the bottom of the roller coaster here. I lost a premium WA referral which is a big deal since I only have a few (I don't promote WA yet). My Amazon sales have also been down. Ever since the new Google update it seems my traffic and sales decreased. Lately though it seems my traffic is back so I am not sure why sales are down. September has not been a good month for my sales.

The biggest dissapointment is that my health problems are still ongoing. I think I am making progress but it sure is slow. I am afraid this will keep me from going to visit my Grandma for her 90th birthday. This is really frustrating. I think I was making progress but then caught a virus that aggravated everything. I really don't have any better options sicne I have already been missing lots of time at my job. I am trying to take care of myself the best I can and my wonderful husband is helping me.

Now, to top everything off, my car is in the shop so we are carpooling again. So, I have to get up in order to drive him to work at 5 AM since his co-worker is gone on vacation yet again.

It has been a GORGEOUS fall here with mild weather, hardly any rain and beautiful fall colors. The trees are green and gold and every shade of vibrant yellow and orange. I am annoyed I can't get out and enjoy it more.

The good news is I have a wonderful husband and 4 sweet, cuddly kitties. And I am also so happy that my husband has a job interview on Tuesday...hopefully we aren't still carpooling then.

I am sure things will pick back up, I will head up to the top and get sales. I will also get better.

The training we get here gives us everything we need to succeed. I have not been consistant enough and even though I have been working to pick this up and add content this summer, I am still paying for my previous lapse. Don't let this discourage you. I have seen success and know this works. We just need to be consistant.

UPDATE: I actually had 5 sales yesterday! They just hadn't shown up yet when I wrote this post.

Onward and Upward!

Jessica

Good post and well done for sharing great information

Thank you! I had sales yesterday after all. They just hadn't shown up yet when I wrote the post.

Yes sometime these things take time then give us lovely surprises

Focusing on the joys in your life is the right way to go! I love the books "You Can Heal Your Life" and everything by Esther Hicks. I wish you the best on your journey. Keep looking up!

Thank you. I will.

I actually had sales yesterday but didn't know it since they hadn't shown up yet when I was writing the post!

Health problems can be a big obstacle. I know you will slowly overcome this and keeping a positive attitude will get you out of the rut.
Cheers
Andrea

Thank you Andrea. I am cheered up a little since I had some sales yesterday that hadn't shown up yet. Thank you.

Cheer up, Jessica. With 4 cute cuddly fur babies. what could go further wrong!

Yes. One boy on my lap purring and the other on the back of the chair purring!

I had sales after all too! They just hadn't shown up yet when I was writing the post last night.

Yay! :)

Yes! Thanks! I had 5 sales.

Good Morning Jessica,

Even if it is not nice to be at the bottom the good thing about it is that it can only go upward. Better times will come for sure.
By the way, I hope you received my email with the medicine links which I forwarded on Sept 21.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Hi Taetske,

No, I am bad about checking my emails for WA stuff. I will look at what you sent.

I am using a low dose of a medication that seems to be helping but I got a virus which derailed my progress. I am confident once I get better, my feet will get better as well.

I had some sales yesterday (5!) but they had not shown up when I was writing the post! I didn't see them until this morning.

Jessica

Good Morning Jessica,

Happy to hear about the 5 sales, there you see, do not give up hope. All the best.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

I can totally relate I been flat in bed all week with a sciatica left side. I Could barely get to the bathroom with my mom's walker. But today was able on my own. And keeping up with our sites has been a challange. I am blessed that Elaine and I work together. She has been shouldering most of our work load within WA community.
Blessings,

I am so sorry to hear that. I had a touch of sciatica on my left side yesterday too! How strange.

I actually had some sales yesterday but they had not shown up yet when I was writing this post. So, things are looking up a bit today.

Thank you. I hope you improve and feel better soon.

Hi, Jessica. I know the feeling. My roller coaster has been in the shop since last summer when I started working on my house to get it ready for sale. I'm paying for all the time and energy expended in that endeavor now. Considering my health issues, I am amazed when I look back on last spring and summer that I was somehow able to keep up the pace of the rat race.

Now that I'm moved and somewhat settled, I am paying for that hectic pace. There are days when I am too exhausted to get out of bed, and I am surrounded by a wall of boxes in my office that are clamboring to be unpacked and put away or downsized. But in spite of the slow pace of getting unpacked and settled in, I know that it was the right decision, and I do really enjoy my new home.

I'm eager to get completely unpacked so I can focus on my writing and get off the dead center my business has been sitting on for so long. But I have to pace myself and be satisfied with and celebrate a little progress each day as it occurs.

Being a double Type A personality, this is very difficult for me, but I'm making it a little bit at a time.

Keeping you in my prayers that your roller coaster will take off and you'll be climbing that steep hill once again.

Be patient with yourself, Dear One, and try to take things one day at a time as they come.

Hi Carol.
I am so glad you are happy with the move even if you still have to unpack. The boxes aren't going anywhere so that is ok!

I hope you can get enough rest to feel better soon. I know that is hard sometimes. I crash when I do too much too.

Guess what? I had 5 sales yesterday! They just hadn't shown up yet when I was writing the post!

Thank you for your thoughts. I really hope you have a good day.
Jessica

Thanks, Jessica. I hope you feel better soon. Congrats on those new sales!

Hi Jessica,
I hope you'll feel better. With such a nice husband and four beautiful kids, you'll be just fine:).
My traffic also went down, maybe because of Google latest update. I don't even know what are the new rules:)
Anyway, September was the worth month ever. I hardly made a sale. I don't the reason.
But I keep posting. I also try to be persistent too:)

Yes, I am very content knowing I have them no matter what! Last night my tabby boy jumped up and laid down with his head in the crook of my arm and purred. He lays upside down like a baby when he is really cuddly. My other boy (a huge, fluffy Norwegian Forest Cat) was on the back of my chair purring as well and touching my shoulders with his paws. I am loved!

I actually had sales yesterday after all. They just hadn't shown up yet when I wrote the post. September still wasn't great but these sales helped. I hope yours pick up as well.

Thank you!
Jessica

Hi Jessica
Thanks for sharing On a roller coaster the downward descent gives you the energy to flow back up ..A few sales and you will
be energized and be able to get back to WA work
Look after yourself take All your pills and get rest
All the best
David

Thanks David. I will. Icing my feet now so I can go to bed....cold is the only thing that always works to cook them down.

I am sure it will chug back up to the top eventually.

Would you believe it (I bet you would), I actually had 5 sales yesterday. They just hadn't shown up yet when I wrote the post!

Hi Jessica. It's not always easy to be consistent. All you can do is your best. Jim

Thanks Jim. Yes. That is true. Thanks.
