We are so lucky to live in a place that has such gorgeous backdrops! I shared pics from two weddings we went to last summer. Here is a picture from a wedding we went to today.

I am holding my adorable Goddaughter, who is WA member CarleighR's daughter. It was a perfect day! May is still "spring" in Alaska. We don't have many flowers yet and it has been pretty cold most off the time so this was great weather and we were very happy to be outside.

I have not made much online progress lately but I am still getting some sales and hope to add some new content over the long Memorial Day weekend.

Happy Spring everyone!

Jessica

Great picture and the baby is adorable

Thanks, yes she is. She is tiny at 14 months old but is almost walking and talking!

You are so very welcome she will grow did you ever think about pedia ensure for children you haven't really grown yet that may help her in the long check with your doctor and see what he says

She isn't our daughter but her parents are very good at giving her healthy food. She was a premie, that is why she is small. She was born 6 weeks early. She is actually growing well and put on 2 pounds in a month recently!

That is wonderful I hope that I did offend you in any way I was just trying to help out that's all. I apologize if I said something out of line.

No, I don't mind. You are fine. Thank you.

Nice pics, Jessica. It must be beautiful where you live. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it is. I wish I had a picture of all the birch trees now. They are so pretty with all their brand new, bright green leaves fluttering in the breeze!

I love that color of baby leaf green. You only see it in the early spring. I remember my crayon box had a color called "spring green". I didn't understand what that meant until many years later in life.

Yes, I hadn't thought of that.

Great pic, Jessica. The baby is really growing. Happy spring to you as well. We have been getting deluged with rain daily for about 2 weeks, and there is a tropical storm that will be dumping on us sometime this week. Nice weather for ducks!

Hi Carol,

Yes, I have been seeing news on that storm. I hope it isn't bad for you! Baby girl is almost walking and talking now. She is 14 months though she is tiny. It was 68 degrees (perfect for us) and bright sun again today. Then it got very dark and rained, then the sun came out again, now it's clouding up again...we are right on the edge of a storm.

Glad it didn't rain on the wedding. Was it outside?

No, it was inside but there was a nice area to go outside by the lake at the reception. It was pure sun that day. It rained the next day.

So glad they had a nice day for it. It has rained here everyday for 2 weeks, there's flooding and landslides, and we're getting the outer bands of Alberto now. Has rained off and on all day today, and tomorrow is supposed to be worse. I didn't go out except to walk the dog.

Oh, I think I forgot to tell you...your advice about hissing at George when he bites really worked. He hasn't done that in quite awhile. He just gets off of my lap and runs away when I have to do it, just like you said he would! You're a miracle worker, Jess!

Oh that's neat! I am glad it worked Carol! I was just passing on what I had read and tried myself.

Our orange boy has been terrible lately. He is still the biggest baby to us but he just keeps chasing his sisters! He corners our new little girl (the 14 year old calico) and we hear the screaming. We come running and he ends up getting dunked in the sink or the shower. That is the only thing that gets his attention. He is so sweet and smart with us he doesn't hold a grudge at all and comes right out and sits in the middle of the floor and starts drying himself off. Later he will cuddle up for snuggles. That cools his jets for a day and then he does it again. This has been going on for weeks!

I need to take my own advice and find my can of the Stop That spray that combines the hissing sound with the pheromone scent that calms them down.

I hope you are ok with the rain and flooding!

I am looking forward to finally getting a new phone and good camera in it so I can take pictures of the pretty scenery around here to share.

Jessica

Sorry to hear your orange boy is acting up, too. So glad George has settled down. He still tries to climb into my lap using my leg for a tree, though.

I am high, so in no danger of my creek. But I do worry about landslides. There were two newsmen killed by a tree that fell on their car this afternoon in one of the flooded areas. The trees don't have very deep roots because the ground is so rocky, and we often have trees down when the ground is saturated.

I'm almost finished with level 2. Working on the post for lesson 10. Hope to finish it tonight. Thought I was finished with level 2. Don't know how I missed the last lesson!

Finished painting my kitchen cabinets yesterday. That's such a relief. I'm about ready to put the house on the market now. Just a few little things (like getting my yard tamed) we have had rain every day for 2 weeks, and I haven't been able to get my weed eating done.

Take care.
Carol

Hey Jessica,

I was just thinking about the wedding you attended last year, lol.

You look fantastic. The pic with the water and mountains is not something I see on a daily basis. You is spoiled, lol. A spectacular view, and your Goddaughter is so cute.

Congratulations on your sales and creating more content sounds like a great plan.

Happy Memorial Day.

Becky

Thanks Becky,

I am very glad my site is on auto-pilot. We spent the day with our Goddaughter and her parents again today and had a great time since she is almost walking and talking now at 14 months old. I am not getting anything done on my site though. I know I could be doing so much better with it if I had more time to dedicate. Mom is trying to buy an 11 unit commercial rental building also and if she gets it, my husband and I will be managing it for her. We will be SO busy but we will make some good money that we can save for a down payment to buy another building of our own. We are making progress every year toward being able to support ourselves and quit our jobs one day. Right now we are just trying to get a tiny bit ahead instead of always feeling hopelessly behind and in debt. I know we are doing the right thing though and since we may never have little kids of our own (due to health problems) we are glad to have the opportunity to see our Goddaughter on a regular basis now!

Beautiful Goddaughter Jessica! Alaska appears beautiful too and would make a great visit - I do love the heat and sunshine though :).

It is very sunny here...18-20 hours per day in the summer! Of course the opposite is true in winter! I wish I could just spend all summer outside since the winters are so long.

You are blessed to be in a cooler climate in the summer months. Glad things are OK Jessica!

Yes, that is part of why I choose to stay here! I really would not do well in a hotter climate. I LOVE summer in Alaska! It is so unbelievably green now. All the birch trees have just leafed out all the way this week and they are gorgeous!

Just have to watch out for those flies and mosquitos near the bog marshes.

Good Morning Jessica,

Lovely picture of both of you.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Thanks Taekske. I need to get to bed here!

So beautiful Jessica, you really are very lucky to be living in Alaska especially this time of year.

Glad you are still making sales. Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Kaju

Yes, thanks Kaju!
