I have a new featured snippet on Bing! Yay! This is great news since I lost my previous feartured snippet on Bing after many months of it being there. I also have one on Google which I am very excited about and posted here yesterday:

Follow the training here at WA, make sure you add your own SEO description, use good keywords and all the other tips and tricks for SEO we are taught.

The way I add my SEO description is to go to Posts in Wordpress, then All Posts. I edit the SEO description from the list there. You can also add the description at the bottom of your screen when you have the post in edit view but I much prefer going to the list of All Posts. It is much easier to see everything there. I also add tags and keywords there and pick which catagory my post should go under.

Onward and Upward,

Jessica

Thank you very much!

You are a source of great information and tips. thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much!

Awesome Jessica. Bit confused though! So, when you go to All posts do you add description in Quick Edit of the post or just go into each post individually via Edit from there?

Neither. You don't have to click either one to add the description. Just click on the little pencil icon by SEO Description and it will let you edit the description. If you hover over it, it will say Edit.

You CAN click Edit on the post and then add it at the bottom in edit mode but I don't do it that way.

Still confused. Which page in the dashboard are you on when you see the SEO description and a pencil icon?

Log into your website. From the Dashboard, click on the Posts link (next to the thumbtack on the list on the left). If you click on Posts you will be where you need to be. If you HOVER over "Posts" you can click on All Posts and get to the same place.

That bit is not the confusing part. The only place to add the meta description that I can see is at the bottom of the post. I use Yoast not All in One SEO plugin so I add it there.

Oh, that is the difference. I don't use Yoast.

Well, it doesn't matter where you add it as long as you add it.

Good question though.

Thanks Jessica for clearing that up.

You are welcome...sounds like you figured it out.

WOW, Jessica, that's fantastic! WooHoo for you!

Thank you Carol! I appreciate your enthusiasm!

You're welcome.

Hey Jessica,

This is very helpful... I have this bookmarked.

Thank you!!

You're doing very well and I'm really proud of your accomplishments. Job well done!

Monica

Thank you very much Monica! I appreciate that.

Congrats! I've started doing the seo descriptions. I had originally just let it automatically.

Thanks Mickey. It is definitely worth it.

You are doing so well! You go, girl!

Thanks Fran. At least that is going well. Everything else is stressful. A heater in one of our tenant's garage's broke and pipes burst tonight. So we have a big plumbing mess now. This is our building, not Mom's. More expense.

One more challenge...hope things start to improve.

Me too. Still busy with the apartment clean up as well. The first one is almost ready to go but we aren't able to be there as much as we want since Aaron is working extra hours at work every day while his co-worker is on vacation. I have been exhausted from this stomach bug too so I seem to have to sleep 10 hours per night now.

Sleep is good. Be glad you can. I went for a couple of years with about 2 hours sleep a night. Bad. Sleep will help you heal. Go for it when you can.

I couldn't survive on that. I am bad for only getting 7 hours on worknights! With my auto-immune issues I should be getting 9 normally.

Yep, when you lose sleep for very long you really feel it. Hope you get lots of sleep these days. I am so relieved I sleep okay now.
