The One Thing…
Do you ever feel like you’ve got too many things to do in a single day?
Do you have a to-do list of tasks that need attending to for your online business?
Do you feel like you’ve been “busy” all day, but haven’t been productive?
Personally, I’ve had many days like this, until I was told about an incredible book that helped me to focus on what’s important, and made sure that I accomplished the “one thing” each day that would help me reach my goals.
Because, not everything matters equally!!
I used to tell myself I could multitask, lol. That’s just a lie. I used to will myself to get stuff done, but that’s not sustainable.
I was struggling to move my business forward because I wasn’t disciplined enough to stay on task.
The One Thing
Fortunately, my mentor and friend told me I needed to read the book called “The One Thing”, by Gary Keller. And this book helped me tremendously. It’s an easy read, and something I now recommend for all entrepreneurs, whether a beginner or those of us who are a little more seasoned, haha.
Basically, this book teaches you that the “One Thing” is the best approach to getting where you want to be. For me, that was getting to that illusive $100 per day!
You may have great goals, but getting there is the problem. Gary shows you how you can achieve extraordinary things by narrowing your focus. You actually need to do fewer things!
I know this sounds backwards, but it works great. It creates a domino effect over time. Your success is built by performing one thing at a time.
In his book, he tells you the 6 lies between you and success, then explains why and teaches you success habits.
He talks about the 4 thieves of productivity, then shows you how to create a highly productive plan.
This has now enabled me to create daily habits that are productive without wasting time getting distracted. And I used to get easily distracted, haha. Oh my!
I’d love to tell you more, but this post would be too long, lol.
But honestly, go read this book. It could change your life and have you reach your goals so much faster.
Cheers,
Suzanne

That seems like a good book, Suzanne! I might have to take a look! I'll put it on my never-ending to do list, which, btw, excites me because I will never be bored!
Happy Frisatsu!

Yeah, the author stated that going small is the best one thing you can do. That’s how I am doing this. Focus on the smaller steps in my goal setting so much easier than the big picture which sets you up to fail and spread yourself out too thin.
Intrigued!!
Long ago I read a "get organized" article that offered the advice, "touch it once".
If you pick up the newspaper, a coffee cup and little Janie's doll, put them all three where they go without putting them down. Otherwise, you risk moving them multiple times and that actually wastes time.
Thanks for the book suggestion!
