I'm Falling Behind!
Did you know that this is just an excuse to quit?
If you’re a beginner, it’s always a huge learning curve to start something new, especially if you have no prior experience with anything “technical”.
And as you start and progress through the training, at times you will feel like your falling behind. If you get stuck on one lesson for several days, or even weeks, the feeling of falling behind sets in.
This often happens due to 2 reasons:
- You’re comparing yourself to others.
- Life gets in the way.
The most important thing you can do is not to compare yourself to others.
For instance “Bob” got lesson #4 in 2 days and I’m taking 2 weeks. This doesn’t mean Bob is doing better than you.
Maybe his skillset for that lesson was previously learned whereas you started from scratch.
Maybe in lesson #5, he’ll move slowly because it’s totally new, and you’ll fly through for other reasons.
And we all have lives outside of WA that often “get in the way”.
What if at some point you get sick and can’t move forward? Or you’ve gone on a well deserved vacation?
Does this mean you're falling behind? No, because the training is evergreen. It’ll be here when you get back.
Just because the starter training is 10 steps doesn’t mean you have to get through it in 7 days, 10 days, etc..
You work through it at your own pace, which is different for everyone.
You must reset your mindset.
When you “think” you’re falling behind, STOP… and reset. The internet isn’t going anywhere. You’re business isn’t going anywhere.
It’s up to you to pick up where you left off, and not let those negative thoughts give you any reason to quit.
Find some way to move your business forward, each day, and you will succeed. Even on vacation, I find time to answer emails and respond to comments.
So stop thinking you’re falling behind, lol. Because you’re NOT!

No one is falling behind (We are all here accomplishing that many people can and we are doing this together which is very important.
We here at WA has on thing in common and that is we many be at different levels of this business, but we are all in this together no matter what.
Suzanne great post I enjoyed reading it very much. We are a family, we are linked minded people trying to build a business that none of us has worry about anything ever again.

Hey Mary, and you're right! We may all be at different stages in our businesses, but we all move forward, one day at a time!
That is so true so none of us are really falling behind. And we shouldn't compare ourselves to others.
They have started before me so I would expect them to be ahead of me. But that doesn't mean that I am behind.
I am just getting started with the program. I don't see myself being behind, I think about the ones who have more experience then I do that can help me get back into the swing of things once again.

I agree Suzanne you do have to change your mindset and everyone moves differently. I know I started out with a goal of articles to complete but life gets in the way. So I'm not focusing on that anymore but just making sure I continue to work on my website at my own pace.
That's awesome April! Life can be messy at times, haha.
But if you help your business move forward each day, even if it's just something small, you're helping it grow.
Hi Suzanne 👋 😊 Mindset is everything, I’m so new to this but I’ve got such a fire in my belly haha. What matters is that you enjoy what you do and you have a passion for it, the rest is history. 😁 I guess the more invested you become the more difficult it can get for some people to be able to separate themselves from the feelings of wanting to be better. You just have to remember how far you’ve come and what you have learned.

Just what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. I can see where it would be easy to try and do this business get frustrated and start to second guess myself on whether this was the right decision for me. Some of the lessons I absorbed right away while others-like the one I am now-I have been thru several times. I remind myself why I got into this business in the first place. It is a viable way to support my family and it is something that I always wanted to do and am having fun with.

Keep moving forward as best you can. There will be joys and total frustrations, lol. But when you overcome all the hurdles, it's very rewarding.

I've seen people race through the training to meet some imaginary goal they've set for themselves, then realize that they truly never learned the lessons!
Take the time you need to master the topic. However long that is, it's worth it; otherwise you won't truly be successful as an affiliate and will always be chasing your goal.
You're so right Jeannine! I think because they're so anxious to make money, they zoon thru the training with no concept of what it truly takes to be successful. As they say... "there no get-rich-quick schemes", haha. It's all about the proper mindset!
