Mastering Social Media Over 35

Last Update: August 11, 2018

This social media thing is kind of tricky for us people over 35. I feel like I am still trying to find out the best way to use it for promotion while all the young ones can do it in their sleep.

I have a facebook page for my site, and I have Google + page. I've managed to find some groups related to my niche and post a few of my articles. I just started getting a few more people I didn't know to like my website today on FB, which I guess is good but still not getting much engagement from people yet. I just figured out how to use #'s on Twitter to help reach other groups of people - yeah in the Twitterverse - I'm ancient.

Anyways, not much else of note going on. That .24 is burning a hole in my pocket. Did a lot of content writing today and posted a new best of article. Want to keep it going but I'm pretty sleepy...and might have to call it an early night. Hope everyone's day went well.

Well, for those of us who were born in the last century.... lol... love saying, 'it's so last century!' .... here it is 2018 and we live in so many different worlds it seems ... for one, this 'virtual' one.. whatever happened to 'in-person' socials or 'meet-ups'?...

Social media is a bit of a mis-nomer actually... it's really e-media...

Anyway, everyone is doing their best in this brave new world... :)

Keep well, all the best... :)

Onward and upward I guess :) Maybe social media age is like dog years. I am 38 in reality so my social media age must be 266 in emedia years LOL.

I understand. I'm 53 and haven't really done anything with social media. But I can see where it will be helpful.... if I can manage it..... We'll have to help each other... lol

What IS all this talk about getting-"old" ?? -- Social Media is really nothing more than just talking to other Folks.... many of them quite similar to 'us'! -- One thing I've noticed, with this
WA-style of FaceBook.... is that all the Folks are a LOT-more open, and friendly! -- Best of all, one gets a far, far-more intelligent conversation, or comments from any and ALL of them!!

I am hugely impressed with these aspects of the WA Social Media service, --- whereas, I had long-ago left the FB pages, with seriously glazed-eyes..... and brain!! :{ --and currently only ever venture back into those 'moribund' pages just to check, and see if any of my Friends and Family are still Posting some items, or comments of real interest.... or if all have succumbed to the 'OTT' ...PC - Political-Correctness! ....or not. - Takes usually 2minutes to check. - Then back to WA... where it's really 'hard2 get-away'!! .... hahaha! :) Yay! :) ..........................

Cheers! --- from New Zealand. :)
