If you are a writer and you're getting paid for doing it by someone who requested those articles, then do it. Then, take the money. But don't do it with your own websites here. lol
That's the kind of stuff they were teaching several years ago and I guess that some people are still hanging on to it. It was for the purpose of submitting similar articles to different article directories in the hope to get SEO juice that way.
I personally don't do it anymore.
good info.. I'm happy to keep taking their money for easy side work but I'll stick to the latest methods (that keep up with the changing Google algorithm) for my own site!

They're using the articles to get backlinks to their website in the hope that it will make search engines think their website is more popular than it actually is & therefore rank it higher (or faster).
So basically they'll submit the articles your sending them onto various different websites & the links placed in them will link back to the websites they're trying to rank.
The bottom line is search engines are not silly, they know what's going on - and they can quite easily detect written (or "spun") content. Basically to keep it simple if the backlink ain't natural it ain't good :)
The best thing to do is focus on your on-site content, share it to get it out there, and let the links come to you as & when people want to link to you. Don't get too drawn into participating in things like this as overall you could end up doing more harm than good :)
Ah that makes sense. Through my training at wealthy affiliate, I'm aware that duplicate or spammy content gets penalised so I have been making sure to write the articles as naturally as possible and with the bare minimum of repetition... whether this will get through the search engine intelligence I don't know...but it's definitely helping me get great feedback and repeat commissions for this gig!
I agree though that I'm better to use my skills to create new content and share for my own sites.
Yeah, as a writer do as you please - after all the implications will not negatively you so long as you're providing them with good work :)

I wanted to log in to my site using the Wordpress App, mainly so I can check traffic and moderate comments on the go.
When I try to add the site I get a 403 error messa
Contact site support in any event Susie. 504 is a server error which their expertise should be directed at!
Just to update this incase any other members are searching for the answer.
Site support confirmed that the Wordpress Android App is not supported (or more specifically XMLRPC endpoints are not allowed) for security reasons.

I would put the client's needs first. Work your sites in lower priority!
