Do you typically have the comment approval option on, so that you have to approve a comment before it will post to your page?
yes i do, due to what is out there it is always advisable to at least skim the comments before allowing them on your site.
spam and malicious comment don't go down well with google
Sounds reasonable. I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't sure if visitors were offended by having to be "approved" before their comment posted. As you point out, sounds like a good way to screen for spam and inappropriate comments.
