I am a Chemical Engineer and worked for more than 25 years in the corporate world of technical sales and marketing. The hustle and bustle of having an eight to five job plus living and traveling in the metropolis burnt me out. When I remained idle for a while, I thought I should use it as an opportunity to gain more knowledge so I took up some Jurist degree classes for 4 years. I had a short stint working as one of the company directors in a stainless steel fabrication business in-charged of Sales & Marketing department and being the Corporate Secretary at the same time. After some time, I received an offer in the field of medical profession, that is, to become a business process outsource provider in particular, catering to a US client. Having a non-allied health experience, I was adamant to take the offer initially, but after some contemplation, I accepted it and decided to give it a try. To cut the story short, I now turned into a Home-Based-Working-Mom and have been such for over 6 years already. Now I would call myself my own boss. How does it sound to you?
While I am enjoying time flexibility at work, I would feel there is still some vacuum believing that I can still be productive in other areas. So I revived the idea of online marketing by exploring on different available platforms. Most sounded interesting though. Sad to say, a few of them did not attract me at all. I am very particular with the rates offered. I would also look into the percentage of probability that one will succeed or gain a fast return of investment, if remote or slow. Then I found WA last 2018, temporarily shelved the idea as I got pre-occupied with my home-based business. Again, I wanted to explore it this time. So the rest is history.
