What is the best way to choose an interest . im interested in fast money making so explain how to #1 research what is free and available then #2 how to apply that knowledge?

I see you just joined today: welcome to Wealthy Affiliate ("WA")!
These questions are answered in the beginner training: "Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC) training". You can find it in the menu on the left side of the page.
"The Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC) training is a 5 phase (50 lesson) series of courses walking you through the process of creating and growing a business within absolutely ANY niche that you want."
It's okay if you don't yet know what a niche is or how to choose one. The training teaches you that.
WA teaches people how to build their own affiliate marketing businesses. Building a business isn't fast but, if you stick with it, it CAN eventually earn you a full-time income.

Thankyou very much for your input. I'm hoping to gain an income that's at least survivable on it's own to start. I realize it wont come in over one night or one week . Just hoping to get all the helpful boosts I can and will do the same for others once I'm able to do so.

You're very welcome, Shawn. You have exactly the right attitude to succeed in affiliate marketing. Just continue with the lessons and doing the work. Patience and diligence will pay off big time.
As for helpful boosts, you'll get lots and lots (and lots!) of those here. WA is the most helpful community I've ever found, whether online or offline.
