Hi, for me, I think a page is more like category, so if I write an article I will make it a post, and it will definitely appear on your home page!
If you published as a page, it would also appear in your top navigation menu!
Hope it can help you, have a nice day!
I published a page in Site Content but I want to change it to a post instead, is this possible?
Here is the plugin you will need to make the changes to your post/pages. Very simple to use.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/
There are plugins that will let you convert from one to the other but the quickest way is to simply copy and paste from post to page.

I have created content in Site Content and I published my page but for some reason the pictures that I added on there do not appear on my website. What could I be doing wrong?<
If they were there prior to publishing, they should have made it. Can you log into your site dashboard and look at your media vault? Are the images there?
I have logged in and went to my media and the pictures that I used in Site Content are not in the media vault. But when I go back into Site Content and look at my published page and go to edit, they are there.
I fixed it!! I think what happened was I created the page in Site Content, published it. Then when I went into my Word Press where you customize your webpage, I didn't add the page. I thought Site Content would have done it on its own, I didn't realize I had to add it to my top navigation. If that makes sense, haha. **embarrassed**
Ahh yes...you can have pages auto-added. It's one of the options in the menu settings. Posts will not be automatically added to menus though.
I'm glad you got it fixed!

How come my pictures aren't showing up on my website?

I was wondering what the difference is between Word Press and SiteContent.
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
You can write articles in either SiteContent or directly in WordPress. When you write in SiteContent you can spellcheck before easily. Once you are happy with it the process to send it to your website in WordPress is easy. There is a lesson that shows you how to do that.
If you so wish you can write content directly in WordPress using the editor there. The advantage of doing this is there are less steps involved.
Either way works. The choice is yours.
Cheers!
I use site content to write in as I like the stats and setout.
I however only do minor linking in content and do everything else in wordpress once it is published. I find it easier to set out graphics and more complex linking (such as amazon and table press) in the wordpress classic editor.
hey hi Brittany & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Premium!
It's all good and many others have asked a similar question ...
Carson explained this in his introduction of SiteContent: SiteContent - Great Content Starts With a Powerful Writing Platform! and now SiteContent users have an additional bonus: SiteContent Images is Here! Over 1,000,000 Optimized Images. Enjoy the amazing WA journey!
all the best, cheerio ... ⭐️🎈
Site Content is a tool to help you compose your pages and posts. It has features such as word and paragraph counts, spelling and punctuation checks, access to the free image library and so on.
WordPress is the framework that your site is built on. It also has the ability to let you create pages and posts, however it doesn't have the same bells and whistles.
They each offer different tools.
The advantage of site content is that WA provides templates for you to follow.
A disadvantage is that as soon as you upload it, it's published.
I suspect a lot of people start off with site content then, when they have more confidence and experience move to direct editing in WP.
I started with WP before Site Content existed. I had my system down there so I just stayed there. I only used Site Content a few times. I use it extensively for finding images however. I save them to my computer then upload them to WP.
SiteContent is just the WA-internal writing platform... After finishing your first draft, you can "upload" your article to WP.
Or you type your article directly in WP, up to you! :)
Cheers,
Tim
