Hi there,
I've accidentally changed something in my theme editor and now my slider images overlap my 4 page boxes (will make sense if you see it).
It's annesacnecur
I cant even open up your site. It does not load at the moment.
My suggestion is to download your theme to your computer, and find original file and replace with one you made mistake.
Do you know which file did you edit?
Ah sorry about that. I had been messing around in GoDaddy and had ended up changing nameservers. It should work again now

I set up a test site at http://sktgirlielitetest.siterubix.com/. As you can see, I have successfully removed the slider. The way I did this is to go to Customize, the Slider settings, then remove all images and text from each slide and save.
Let me know if this works for you, if not, I will help come up with another solution.
Hi Chris,
yes that does seem to get rid of it but you need to scroll down for the next four boxes to load and then they jump up to the top - it works but its a little awkward. Unless, is there a way for me to add just a slim picture where the slider used to be, at least then it wouldn't act so awkward when scrolling down...does that make sense?
Ok, what you will need to do is go to Appearance, then Editor.
It should say at the top:
Edit Themes
SKT Girlie Lite: Stylesheet (style.css)
if it does not, you can select the "Stylesheet (style.css)" from the menu in the right sidebar.
Next you want to pres CTRL+F, which should bring up a search box in your browser. Type into the search box "pagewrap2". This should find a line in your style.css that says:
.pagewrap1, .pagewrap2, .postwrap3{ visibility:hidden; }
Simply change that line to this:
.pagewrap1, .pagewrap2, .postwrap3{}
Now when you visit your homepage again the style.css will be cached so it will appear that you have not made the modification. To fix this, simply press CTRL+F5 to flush the cache and refresh the page. Now it should appear as you desire. It does do a little blinky thing as you scroll down the page, but I don't think that's too much of an issue.
To fix that issue, I believe that you will first have to establish an ftp connection to your website so that you can access the javascript/jquery files that are creating the fadeinleft and fadeinright effects.
I almost forgot, after you change that line in the style.css file, you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update File
Hi Chris,
Thanks a lot for your help. I've made the change that you mentioned above and I have hit update. I also flushed the cache and refreshed the page but I'm afraid it still shows. I've attached a screenshot of the piece of code that I changed to make sure it was the right thing, is there something I am doing wrong?
Thanks
I just visited your site and it appears as the change to the stylesheet has taken effect.
I still see the slider though.
Hi Chris,
Thanks very much for your help with this. I think I'm quite happy with the site now. Thanks again and if there's ever anything I could help you with don't hesitate to get in touch!
It would help greatly if you could tell us what theme you are using. I can assure you that I can help you get rid of this, even if you have to modify the code to do so. But first, I would have to know what theme you are using so I can take a look at it. Each theme has different settings and features.
If the theme is what I think it is, your slider is controlled by a plugin and a special tool. What is your theme? Toothpaste?
you should be able to go to apperance.....theme settings.....down to home page section....Home Slider....change to none.
Should work
