The Truth in Silence
An prophet suggested, “Be still and do.”
There is great wisdom in this statement.It is only when we still in the silence of our thoughts can we listen to our dreams, the truth of being alive, and our goals.
In the silence of my being, if I sit very relaxed. a very still knowingness comes over me telling me all is as it should be. I've learned to trust my inner silence.
Rolling along,
Sunday

I agree 100%. I got divorced in 2007, with 2 sons, their father died in 2010, and my mother died in my house on Thanksgiving day in 2012. Through sending my boys to therapy, because their father died suddenly, and then witnessing my own mothers death, we all, the 3 of us Me and my two sons have been through a lot. But, you know what? It has made us stronger individuals. We all want to survive, but you know when you need to. That is when the quiet comes in and I can focus on one more year. My focus now, is to sell my home where I live, and to move to where I want to be. Luckily the internet can travel.
Wrong. People do get tired, and frustrated and there are plenty of things I cant do. Just trying to survive. I agree with your words of wisdom. Pick yourself up and move along.
I like your statement: "It is only when we still in the silence of our thoughts can we listen to our dreams, the truth of being alive, and our goals."
For me the time for this is every day after waking up before getting up. Normally about 10 minutes.
It somehow gives me the energy I need for the day.
Thanks for sharing Sunday.
My time is at night I drift off to another world. in the quietness, I hear the breathing of those I love and gratitude sweeps over me.
That reminds me a Turkish saying !
If a person asks you:
"How are you going" in Turkey they say
"MEHTER TAKIMI GIBI" "IKI ADIM ÔNE BIR TANE ARKAYA"
First let me explain what "Mehter Takimi" is;
This the oldest still existing military fanfare in the world.
Created in the 13 th century.
During the reign of Sultan Keykubat of The Selcuk Dynasty,
the dynasty that preceded the Ottoman Dynasty.
When they march and perform they do always:
TWO STEPS FORWARD AND ONE BACKWARDS
So far this little chapter of history
Now the translation;
"LIKE THE MEHTER FANFARE, TWO STEPS FORWARD AND ONE BACKWARDS"
Greets,
Attila
Nice quote.
A friend of mine used to always say "through non-action, nothing is left undone."
I am not sure where he heard that, but while it made no sense to me at the time, it stuck with me and is starting to "click" with me now.
