Does the Lesson "Building Your Own Niche Website" Come Too Early in Level 1?

So far, so good. It has not been exactly a roller coaster ride till now but the little bumps on the way were expected. Now, I’m towards the fag end of Level 1, having registered myself for Jaaxy and trying to understand fully the art of having the best keywords in my website’s content. I have learnt that keywords are indeed the key to having a good traffic to my site, which in turn can translate into good business. While all these are good and I’m absorbing in so many things, I have, in the last few days, left my website unattended because I’m learning only now how to make it more robust and how to position it well. As I took one step at a time, I started building my site while still in lesson 4 (Building Your Own Niche Website) and not surprisingly, I got stuck. I did not go forward in the subsequent lessons and almost frantically, began pestering everybody here in WA with my queries on how to untangle myself from the seemingly messy situation I was in. When I look back now, it’s kinda amusing at the little things that I got confused with and how I had to redo many things. As I have now reached Lesson 8, I’m beginning to see things more clearly. However, having said that, I sometimes used to ask myself if the Lesson 4 was thrown at us a bit too early in the course because the way to building a good website, the tools and the works, all come in the later lessons. Or is it a deliberate push on the part of the designers of the course to see if we could come out unscathed after that little bit of ordeal by fire up early? Was it only in the interest of newcomers like me to let us test the waters for ourselves and be given a more thorough introduction to the unlimited opportunities that lay ahead of us. Whatever the reasons were, I’m so much thankful to WA for the cleverly designed lessons and other materials. I can now almost rest assured that I’ll always be guided all along the way. Cheers!!

I guess it's like building a house. You first have to build a good foundation in order to start building the framework. In the beginning you created a website with essential components, your home page, your about me page, privacy policy, etc. later on in the lesson you will start adding on other important elements but for now you have a live website that will get indexed with google.

Truly said.

I do not think it is too early at all because you cannot effectively do the following lessons without having an up and running website.

That's true. I'm realising now why the lesson was introduced early. You first NEED a running website. The chiselling and fine tunings can be done later. Which, of course, is possible only if you have a website of your own.
