Do You Feel Lucky?
Is there such a thing as luck? Perhaps at a casino although I normally have NO luck on those slots!!!!! People DO win the lottery so I don't rule luck out. I have a cousin who won a milliion dollars on a scratch off. I call that pretty darn lucky. However, this is an extraordinary event and not the norm.
You want luck? Keishalina9 just posted a blog that had a quote in that I always liked:
*"I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."**
– Thomas Jefferson, U.S. Founding Father, (1743-1826).
How many times do we look at someone and think how lucky they are to have that big house, that new Mercedes, that cool boat, etc. What we see is the RESULT OF HARD work and all the little things that this picture depicts.
Fortunately for all of us, we CAN have luck. We have people who have been there, done that and willing to show US how. We have templates to follow - basically everything we need. All we have to add is the work. The question is -- are you willing to do what it takes?
So, do you feel lucky? I think Thomas Jefferson said it best (see above).
Have a great day where ever you are. It just turned into my Thursday. WHEW, the weeks are a blur.
Hugs

Debbi,
I've won a few bucks here and there on the lottery over years, but nothing even close to a million.
Like anything else, luck is something you have to work hard at to achieve.
Great post and thank you for sharing it.

Well quantum physics is starting to make sense of this which is interesting. The more lucky we feel the more lucky we are, however the LOA sometimes misses out one bit and that is Take Action! So I think what you say is spot on! Great metaphor in that pic by the way ! Thanks Phil
Hi Debbi,
I'm sure there's something to it - when you're doing particular well with something, luck seems to follow you around.
I've seen it many times in sports for example (and the opposite effect).
A team or an individual is playing really well and they seem to get every single slice of luck, whereas their opponent is having a bad day and everything seems to go against them.
I'm certain anyone into the Law of Attraction will say that this is the way of the world, although I'm more analytical and scientific by nature (so maybe's it's Newton's 3rd Law of Motion, who knows!)
From a work and WA perspective, using the same analogy, the harder you work, the more effort you put into it, the more likely things will start going your way (you catch a break, things start falling into place, you get good luck).
Thanks
Partha
The harder you work, the more luck you have. The more "luck" you have, the more confidence you get so you work more and have more luck. A cycle perhaps? Same with team sports.

Debbi, what you have written is so true about WA, we have all the templates, all the great lessons, and all the great fellow members to help us on our way, all we need do is apply a good hard work effort. Still to another tale, I was in love with this wonderful lady Karen, she really had luck, whenever we went to the casino, she one, we would no sooner walk through the door and she would walk up to a poker machine and when $3000. Poor me would struggle to win $10, I do not remember a time that she and I visited a casino and she did not win big.

A friend of mine won almost $200K in a year on the slots. He showed me the W2 forms the casinos gave him, I was with him one night and I saw him win a $12,000 jackpot. Most I ever won is $2500. Slots are really a suckers game. I usually play blackjack
You're right about slots. It's pretty random. At least with blackjack, you have a little control.

Good afternoon Debbi,
In Holland we have a saying: From nothing comes nothing.
Yes, I am lucky. I have Michael, 2 cats, live on my organic farm, lots of fresh air and sunshine.
But it was a lot and sometimes hard work starting in 1981. That is life.
Greetings from the south of Spain,
Taetske
Good Morning Taetske,
I like that saying. It's so true!
Yes, perhaps lucky but blessed for sure!!!! I'm sure it IS a lot of work but it is so beautiful! Hard work (especially in the fresh air and sunshine) never hurts anyone and keeps you young.
