BEWARE - It's More than Physical

Within the last couple days, I've read numerous posts regarding controversial issues within WA and I find it troublesome. Sure we sometimes ,albeit rarely, have disagreements amongst members due the vast number of people here. If that wasn't enough, we have a highly diverse community. Both of these are a huge plus and have always worked in our favor.

I can't help but wonder if some of this strife is a result of the Virus and our limitations because of it. As fate will have it, this popped into my FB feed and it was perfect timing so I wanted to share.

We've heard so many people talk about how this virus is affecting us but usually we're speaking of the physical ramifications and forget about the mental ones.

Personally, I'm not having an issue at all with the stay at home order as long as I can make a grocery run periodically. HOWEVER, I know MANY are and for various reasons. Perhaps you've lost your job and the WA gig isn't paying yet, you have health issues and this virus could have a devestating impact on your life or you're simply a hard core social person.

I talked to a friend yesterday and he said it was "killing him" not to go near anyone. He's handling it well. He calls me, I give him a hard time, he laughs and feels better. Some people have no one. A computer is great company to many but it is also a way to remain faceless and vent your frustration at another innocent person.

We WILL make it through this but we NEED EACH OTHER to stay strong even if it is 6 ft apart. Be SUPPORTIVE of each other. WA is a great community and we each have a part to play in helping people exactly where they are.

Be safe in every way!!!

Your share says a lot, Debbi there is so much more than what meets the eye. We only see what we want to see.

There is a lot of talk going on but in the end, they are only half-truths. but there is a silver lining to every dark cloud.

We need to create awareness Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

always a better way
sending blessings your way

Thanks for commenting. I always try to look for the silver lining and I see a lot of good things coming from all this. You have to keep a positive attitude though. WA helps!!!

Debbie, I feel the same as you. Just recently I had a job that put me with fellow employees all day and included helping clients with their technology issues. Being at home 24/7 was an adjustment, but I can deal with it by getting outside or making a short trip to get needed groceries or pick up take-out to support our local restaurants.

Kindred spirits. lol
