Do I Find it Easy to Do Things the Hard Way, or Hard to Do Things the Easy Way?

Whew! Another WA lesson under my belt and this one was a toughie! But I persevered (asked for help) and finally finished the tasks. I admit that the lessons at WA sometimes leave me stymied, but I'm grateful to Kyle for continually reminding us to not overthink and over complicate things.

That is something I've been guilty of my whole life and it can be debilitating! I think I get the tendency from my mom because not only did she over complicate everything, she over analyzed every little thing as well. The drama in our family was unbelievable because of this.

The first job I ever had, my supervisor actually took me aside after the first few months and told me that he noticed I was always trying to do things the hard way! What an eye-opener that was. So now I'm aware of this tendency in myself and try to offset it any way I can.

If I feel like I've reached a brick wall I know I don't have to climb that brick wall because there is a way around it, and oftentimes, there's even a door. Sometimes, there're several doors and I just have to find them, and finding them is challenging and fun too!

It's when we stand there and stare at the wall and fret and worry and cry that we're truly stuck and things seem hopeless.

This is when I take a deep breath, laugh at myself, (that step is important) and go about finding the door in that wall or step 4 feet to the right and find....no more wall! Of course, that is all true of life in general, not just WA training. Anyone who's ever accomplished anything in life is aware of that so that means all of us!

So I guess my message is: Don't give up. There's a DOOR any wall you come up against and many people here who are happy to help you find it! Thanx Y'all! God Bless!

Helpful thoughts. Right now I think that I am staring at the wall. It's time to look for the door.

It will be easy for you Russell because you know what's important. You have the most powerful force in the Universe behind you. When I find myself 'staring at the wall' I actually think about you and your wife preparing for the Sabbath and laughing together and it just makes me smile! ;-}

That's so true Sue.
