Where Has 2018 Gone?

Can you believe it is August and it has been nearly seven (7) months since I last blogged or published an article? Well, I am back, and although I cannot invest daily, I will make it a priority to blog, write articles and continue to develop my skills at WA with consistent activity. To start out my return to WA, this is an exercise to get me back in the saddle again.

Some may ask where and what have I been doing since January, and I wish I had a short answer. I will catch you up a little by providing bullet points for the year.

The big news for 2018 is that my daughter gets married on September 15th, 2018 so we are excited for the big day to get here with grandchildren perhaps in the future. Ali's fiance is a police officer and active army reservist drill instructor, and we are excited to have him fix tickets for us.

Our son has been on his own for nearly a year and is manager a meat market and works the slaughterhouse to round out his knowledge. Nate's goal in 2018 was to reduce his weight by 20% where he accomplished that goal not even six (6) months into the year.

My bride of thirty plus years still puts up with me, and she is now making money at para cording even though her side business takes up a bedroom and half the dining room. Renee and I will be working on her website, so we actively sell beyond farmers markets and similar events.

I have been traveling the nation meeting with clients promoting Financial Institution (FI) ATM and Branch Service offerings, and I must remember that Rome took more than a day to build. I forgot what it was like to work for a large company (380,000 employees) so must be patient.

We experienced grief this year when our Jack Russell, Buddy crossed the Rainbow bridge and we miss him. Our younger Jack Russell, Scrappy suffered doggy depression after the loss of his companion of 12 years. Scrappy will not eat dog food anymore, and since we transitioned him to a diet he will eat, his blood work is cleaner than it has been for years.

We experienced happiness this year when brought in a new rescue puppy six (6) months old who had been re-homed numerous times. Her name is Desi Lu, and we are replacing the bad memories with happy memories and making progress. Roxy our two (2) year old rescue is a great older sister and helps her transition every day.

I turn fifty-five (55) in a couple of weeks so will be eligible for senior discounts at many restaurants. I am not sure what I think about that accomplishment yet but who can complain about saving money. I will be in Raleigh, NC attending training on my birthday so wish me luck.

2018 has been a busy year after starting a new job in January, and it is my goal to be more active in the WA and catch up with those that I missed during these long seven (7) months.

I missed each of you, and I wish you a happy Monday. It sure is great being fifty plus going on fifteen.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jay! It is so good to have you back!!! I am so sorry about the loss of your doggie. I am glad you have your other doggies.

We adopted a 4th kitty this spring. She is a 14 year old calico girl. She is so spry it is hard to believe but she seems healthier than all the younger kitties! She is a polydactile (Hemingway) cat with extra toes and is the softest, prettiest girl in white, orange and black.

We will hopefully be managers of a 6-plex soon if Mom is able to get this building. We are waiting to hear how much of the extensive repairs the sellers are willing to complete. We already run our own 4-plex.

I started a new website on human health related to nutrient deficiencies and supplementation, so I have 2 now!

We will have to catch up more later! Congrats on all your other news.

Jessica

Jessica,

Great to hear about the changes and our daughter Ali wants to foster kittens... should be interesting. I will look at the new website since I believe deficiencies and excesses both impact our well being. Be good. J

Thanks Jay.
