Another Bucket List Item In The Works
Earlier today I put together a blog to post today and saved it to send out late tonight once my 24 hours are up since I am a newbie.
It was icky outside after I did some running around for groceries, etc., so I decided I would start to work on a bucket item list that I believe will help me when I work on my website(s).
My outstanding bucket item list is to digitize thousands of pictures and hundreds of hours of VHS videos. I started working this project around noon today and after six (6) hours, I had scanned approximately 1,000 slides so these are now available for my utilization going forward with many more left to scan.
Here are a handful of pictures that have been digitized.
Teenage Girls On The Coast Of La Maddelina Italy - Wore Out Shoes WalkingSunset On A Gravel Road Outside Of Jamestown North Dakota
Toulon France Looking From Barstool I'm Sure
USFL New Jersey Generals With Herschel Walker - Giants Stadium Rocked
I have much more work to do on this project but it was a good days work and it significantly increase my digital library for utilization on my website(s).
Moving forward one step at a time right.
What projects are you working on to give you greater website flexibility?
Have a safe, healthy and enjoyable day. Its great to be Fifty Plus Going On Fifteen.

Good evening Jay,
Whenever I can use a personal photo for my website I do so. I think it gives a nice personal touch.
Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske
Taetske, That is my thought also. I believe it means more if it is personalized. I am hoping I have some shots off Gibralter but believe we were in a security area so I do not. I hope you are well with the current unrest that has been in the news on this side of the pond. Be safe. Jay
Good Morning Jay,
Personally, I am a bit worried about the happenings lately in Spain. I think united we are better of. Many big companies and banks are pulling out of Catalunya, this whole thing is causing unrest and division in the population and the effects long term are not predictable.

Wow, 6 hours of scanning? Good for you Jay. I have 1,000s of photos that I should digitize as well, but I've been putting it off for years, I may just start doing an hour a day. Thanks for sharing :-)
Nothing big in the works for me right now, except to work harder on my website and my Google ranking. That was quite an undertaking and I'm sure well worth the time you put into it.
Ambitious project and a great way to spend your time. Do you digitize your photos just by scanning them? How did you do the videos? I need to do the same.

It is and I have no clue how many pictures we have but I am 1,000 closer to complete. I purchased a small digital recorder that handles sides and negatives and so far so good. The video, I am still looking for a reasonable option to go to DVD or other. jay
I keep forgetting my camera when I go on camping trips for my site and end up using my phone. Pictures are nowhere near the quality.
Nice pics Jay...Great addition!! I think I'm gonna have to buy another SIM card for my camera. Getting pretty full. I take a ton of my own pics for my blog. I post several per blog post.
One of these days I'm gonna get a smart phone so I can do video too. Right now I have a pre-historic flip phone! YUK!! Doesn't do much!
Love your pics. Thanks for sharing, Jay...

The funny thing is my grandmother did everything in her power to bury the family history but I have probably 1,000 slides to digitize and 8 mm movies. BTW... The reason why was that my Great Grandfather ran away with a married woman from MO to ND in 1912. Thanks, Jay

Very nice! I use only my own photos on my posts. It is so easy if you have enough photos. Luckily my niche is cat products I actually use so I can use pictures of my cats for the posts. I try to use pictures of the cat that gets that product if it is for a specific behavior or health problem or I can use any of them for food, toys etc.
Great pictures! Good job!
If your cats are like my dogs, they have been photo journaled to the nth degree. Thanks, Jay
Yes, they have!! The problem is my phone is ancient and just about dead. I can't take any more pictures on it or do much with it at all now. I desperately need a new phone.
So, I take pictures with my husband's phone and then have to email the pictures to myself, download them onto my computer, then I can upload them to my site. It has hampered my use of pictures.
