Hey guys. I am really familiar with keywords so please don't preface your response by treating me like I just started yesterday :P

That said, I'm really having troub

I agree with PoppaJoe. If you don't feel like AMP should be in the title, don't use it. If it's appropriate to talk about AMPs in the article, do that, and Google will naturally rank you when people search for "Keyword + AMP".

It's not a perfectly optimized article, but not every one can be if you are writing for human consumption.

Thanks man I think I'll do What is a USB DAC and then just add a section on amps. My thought was that the amp part isn't as important as the DAC. All an amp does is amplify a signal. The DAC is responsible for the conversion and quality of the actual sound.

Good thing you're the expert. Sounds like gibberish to me.

On a side note, that's another thing worth considering. WHO is your audience. Are these newbies like me who won't know what you're talking about, or experts who need to know this info?

Just general advice for helping with conversions.

Good thought. I assumed people who search for this type of stuff are newbies to the audiophile world. Just found a nice keyword "What is a Planar Magnetic Driver" going to write about that. Finished the "What is a USB DAC" article yesterday. Not sure how I'd go about finding out who these people are. When I get comments, emails, and testimonials, it's def from newer guys. But those have to do with comparison stuff and advice about what to buy.

I think a prefer the second 'What is a USB DAC Amp? 120 monthly searches, 21 traffic, QSR 3.'
But there traffic yet you have more opportunity to rank on page one.

Bye.

i would go for the second one for the title and the first for the perma link.
reason- the second one makes sense and is a complete keyword.
you know your niche better than us, so which one is the one you niche uses?
for me a dac is just type of process with the amp being what it is being applied to.
presumably it is digital data being transferred to prevent loss of quality.
if you are explaining the process then the first one - but it is a partial keyword made up of the second and third.
who is on page one for each - can you beat them? at the end of the day this is the most important part of the equation.
if you rank for trending low hanging fruit then your traffic will disappear.
you need to look for evergreen information within your niche and blog about that- also keep uptodate with the latest models.
Good liuck with whichever one you pick Stuart.
Phil

Hey Phil. I already wrote in the post above that my goal was more evergreen content moving forward, and the issue with low hanging fruit. Thanks for the response, but you could have left those things out.

You're right about checking competition. Seems as though a lot of bigger sites are ranking for that first keyword.

sorry Stuart- that will teach me to start writing - take a break and come back without re-reading your post.
if that is the case with the bigger sites - unless you have the authority....
but you could always write it and link from other low hanging fruit articles to improve your chances of ranking.
are you known in forums for your site? if so promote it to get more backlinks and look for edu forums you can get backlinks from..
good luck
phil

No problem man. Yeah that has been a strategy of mine for awhile kind of naturally and organically. Moving forward though you hit on something that I really want to start doing, and that is leveraging more of those low hanging fruit posts to try and boost rank for really big keywords and articles with a lot of content.

I'm not really well known in forums no, that's another thing I wanted to start doing more in addition to Pinterest/FB.

I wouldn't say the low hanging fruit articles that I've written would be considered trendy. A lot of them are Vs. articles so sometimes people just aren't searching for specific products. Perhaps those keywords will regenerate in the future so there's that.

Also there has been more competition for a lot of the really good ones that I was ranking very well for so now it's back to the grindstone and to come up with some different ideas.

Been implementing jump links and amazon tables to my site which I think will help a lot. There are some areas where I have authority and others not so much. Even just going back and doing an audit of my site has helped a lot in fixing things and improving on old posts.

I would use the first one in my perma link, and make it the main kw, with the second one in the post

I think this is what I was looking for. Sounds ideal. I think Poppa kind of alluded to it as well.

I personally would go with the third one.
My reason.
The QSR is zero and ok only 15 searches but those 15 would land on your site.
No guarantee the others would except maybe the second one coz there's only 3 of competition but I still prefer the third one because it would be at the top of the list. and the majority of people will look at the first one first, would they not?
Robert

Thanks Robert!

Happy to give my 2 cents worth but at the end of the end you will have to go with what you believe is the best.
We other members just have an opinion.

I would say just pick one and write your article naturally. The engines will obviously rank you for other keywords and even just a mere mention AMP would most likely be picked up quickly.
Go for the 1st one and don't stress out over it!

Thanks Poppa Joe!

Didn't really want to make a blog about this, but I have all the boxes checked inside the comment thing that I want. I only removed the few that I really am not interested in.

Despite they let you choose the topic you're interested, the system still randomly prompt other topics that you're more might not interested or add any value to it.

That's why they have the skip button for you and set the limit to 20%.

In Carson email, he mentioned:

We're really focusing on the alignment of interests as a high priority.

You'll start to notice the odd email here and there letting you know that a fellow member at WA has requested comments on a topic that you have selected as an "Interest" in the system. When you receive such an email it's a great opportunity to leave a comment because it's a topic that you've marked as an Interest from your SiteComment settings.

Have anyone received such an email?

The interest filter doesnt work 100% for me too. I will get some blogs that I dont like.

Yeah it doesn't seem to do much, but I will keep trying. I've been messing with it for a few minutes and it refreshes blogs with stuff I've filtered out. I'll try what the fella says below though.

I had the same situation. I closed off the browser and re-opened it, but if that didn't do it, I'd wait a while and then try again.

Thanks James! Yeah I'm going to try that.

No problem. It could also be the case that there won't be any sites available to comment on at the time...

Hey guys!

Didn't really want to make a blog for this, but I had a thought about rankings.

So you crack the top 200 and get a badge. That's cool and all, but when yo

Doesn't the number do all the work?:))

Good thought not sure it is practical

I think it is there for a good reason. The members will not engage as needed and the community will fade.

I like this idea and would be a great incentive to stay consistent at 200 or lower. Thanks for sharing! Can you PM Kyle?

A great thought Stu. Take several pictures of your cake so when it's eaten you'll have it too!!

hahaha...and shoes, and shirt, and chairs, and whatever.....:)))

Cool idea you got! That's a lot better, and we hope Kyle see that.

Hey!

When I tried to PM, it went to this. :)

The list of keywords and their original stats:

Bose AE2 vs. OE2..............................

To PM Kyle or Carson, go to the "other" category. Otherwise, it will end up as a post.

I've made the same mistake, too...as have a plethora of other WA folks!

Jim

Hey Jim thanks for the head up! Where is the Other category lol. I don't see it.

Oops! It's gone! Flew the coop! Into the twilight zone!

It was there just a week ago because that's when I used it. Maybe Kyle got rid of it because of too many "other" emails.

Try to contact Jay, "magistudios." He might be more available for your keyword stuff!

Yeah, send this our way. The keyword could have been cached from another search and it could have expired, thus producing new data.

If you send the exact keyword data to Carson or myself we will be able to investigate with our programming team to see what the issue is with that particular keyword.

So I went through a bunch of my other keywords that I had written articles for recently and they're all

Hm. Can you send this list of KW's to Carson? I'm sure he'll be interested to investigate this!

I have been using the Keyword tool here at Wealthy Affiliate for some time and have been ranked well on Google. I had not seen this issue.

Hi,
Yes I did have almost the same issue actually. I dont know how accurate it is

If you think there is a bug then you should contact support. It probably isn't as accurate as a tool like Jaaxy, however, I've never had any issues with using it. I get rankings just fine with it.

One way or the other, you should notify support so that they can look into it. Bugs happen you know? :)

Hope this helps :)
