Building my email list

Trying to learn the ins and outs of building up an email list. In the past, I have played around with MailChimp with some success. Thanks to my Wealthy Affiliate family, I am giving Aweber a test drive.

Get the Plugin

The first thing you will want to do is get the WP plugin and sign up for the free Aweber account. You can have a list of up to 500 subscribers for free - that's pretty generous. I just went to add plugins on my dashboard for my blog and searched for it there.

Create a Landing Page

Then I created a simple landing page and I am now using it on my Instagram as the one link they give you––I'm hoping to drive traffic from there to my blog and get subscribers. I also created a simple subscriber form and put it as a widget on my blog's sidebar.

My Next Challenge

I am trying to figure out how to make it so when I update my blog, my subscribers get an automatic email to update them that I post a new article. I'll let you know when I figure that out.
