Time to get back to work!

We had guests for eight days last week and we were going from sun up to sundown. So as you can guess we didn’t get much accomplished towards completing our training or creating content here. But we did accomplish a great deal here in our new home in Medellin, Colombia.

A team of our friends from Boquete, Panama came to work with our Spanish speaking host church to give free eye exams and eyeglasses to those who cannot afford them. In five days of clinics, we saw over 600 people. You should have seen the smiles as these people were able to see clearly, in some cases for the first time in their lives.

We also shared our Christian faith and gave away 200 Spanish language Bibles. The ministry is called God’s Eyes and holds similar clinics all over the world. It was an awesome 8 days!

This is all part of the theme of my first website. The title is Retire Outside the USA. If you have the chance, please visit and read some of our stories. We have just gotten started and hope to write many more of our stories since being retired for three years. When I say we, this includes my wife Paulette who is also a premium member here. Her view of our adventures as well as her writing style are considerably different than mine. I’m looking forward to creating more posts to help many others see the benefits of relocating to a different part of the continent when they officially retire.

Now that we have recovered (remember, we are supposed to be retired), it is time to get back to business. So I decided to start by writing this short blog. Next assignment is to get back into the training in level III and then write a new blog for one of my two websites.
