What are your biggest WordPress issues?

I'm getting ready to take the leap into video creation soon. I would like to create some short videos to help people with common WordPress problems. I have gotten quite a few ideas out here but maybe some of you have had issues that I haven't heard of or thought about yet.
So, what kind of WordPress videos would YOU find most helpful?

Hi Steve, thanks, did I call you;) I have just activated the Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugin, and I don't really know what it's all about, where to fill in what, it comes with a compleet background menu, with meta/rss/titles/ etc. If you could make a video to explain everything that would be wonderfull! Love to hear from you when you decide to make this one, Loes
I do plan to cover the topic of SEO plugins. I haven't used Yoast myself but I will install it on one of my "play" sites and see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion Loes :)
I have also just installed the Yoast Wordpress SEO and I'm still struggling to understand it. I would appreciate it if you can do a video like Loes has suggested. I'm looking forward to seeing your videos as I am really getting into making videos myself. I won't steal any of the ideas posted here though, I'll leave it up to you to make them. Hi Marion, I figgered a lot out myself allready, but not all of it yet, (some backstage isues and social media I really don't know how to) I do have now a green light on two of my posts, (5 hours of work) 17 to go yet, pff, Loes
Don't worry about stealing ideas, I'm sure these are pretty common challenges and the market is big enough for the both of us :)
I usually ask questions like this so we ALL get new ideas :)
IS there a way to add widgets to OTHER pages and have the html be a banner link to a different affiliate link?..I have some affiliate links but it seems I am only able to add widgets to those SAME links on all the pages..Each page I would like my audience to see different add since I have more than one affiliate program that I have tied in with my niche.
If you are referring to a widget in the sidebar, I'm not aware of any method to customize those from one page to another. If it is possible, I would think it would require some pretty sophisticated coding.
Hey guys. I found a great plugin that can control what widgets are available on different pages. At least for the side bar. 'Display Widgets'. Has options for 'show on checked pages'/'hide on checked pages'. May or may not be what you're looking for. But, I'm able to use it for some pages to have more ads, or different types of ads.
You can install a "Display Widget" which will give you the option of displaying different thing on different pages or post.
Oh yeah, another one that is giving me grief. Here it is............
When I go into WP and begin a post, I realized that I can not insert a picture unless it is between paragraphs. Then when I do and everything looks A-OK in the preview, I update it.
Then opening up another browser I got to my site and see what onliner's will be seeing.
Yikes! Sometimes it's WAAAAAAY different than what the Preview shows.
Not sure if that is WP or perhaps it's just "operator error" (meaning me) but it sure is a bit irritating.

The placement of images is a big one for many. I know I struggled with them a LOT when I was starting out. That will be on the top of my priority list for sure. Thanks Tom.
The thing is that there are so many different themes to choose a the layouts are different. Think is a great idea though!!
We ALL get overwhelmed with the number of theme choices that are available. It's hard to go into recommendations on that. So, I will have to stick with tutorials that are universal.
Wow! What a great way to start videos!
I know one thing that I struggled with and you helped me out was the detailed description of how to incorporate Amazon links into my blog post.
(by the way Steve, since you explained it all to me a few weeks back, I've had absolutely NO more issues!)
How about something dealing with that little bit of code inserted into our WP that comes from AdSense.
That one is still giving me a headache.

I think Patti covered it. LOL My tip would be make them VERY basic. Assume your viewer knows nada, zippo, nuttin 'honey. :)

1) How do you change the font, other than via the "paragraph" options? I know you can do it but I've never understood how.
2) What do you have to know before you just up and change themes? Every time I've changed I've ended up with a big mess - images out of alignment, weird paragraphs, etc.
3) What are the top 5 best themes for blogs? And why do you recommend them?
4) Is there a place that summarizes the many plug-ins available? There are SO many I have no clue which ones could help. And researching them takes forEVER.
5) What exactly does a "static front page" mean and why would I choose to do that?
That's a good start for now. If you want more I have a dump truck in my back yard FULL of questions about WP. :)

Well I'd love it, but honestly Steve you don't have to take the time to answer my questions right now. I can wait for the videos. My WP sites are up & runnin', so I'm not exactly hung up on any of these Q's. I would eventually like to know so I get better at WP. THANK YOU ANYWAY! And again, I'm so excited to see your videos!

I have a lot of trouble with plugins. Now I have been 3 days with Google tools, analytic, s won't work.
My biggest problem is that of the 3 different video's that I watched; Not 1 of them matched the screens I was getting on my computer. I have crashed the website once. It took tech. support over 8 hrs to fix. I am still at a stand still!
I will do a video on how to install the Analytics code. Thanks for the suggestion :)
