Ok, so my url is pickyourbible.com and when you search pick your bible in yahoo and bing I come up on the first page. First position on Bing and 3rd on Yahoo. Im super excited

It takes a lot longer to get ranked on Google. I have several ranking on Bing and Yahoo that have yet to make 1st page ranking on Google. It will come, but it takes longer.
Ok thanks! I didn't know if something was wrong or not. I was a little shocked when I found it ranked on Bing and Yahoo first when I never even submitted a sitemap lol but that makes me feel a lot better!

Doing a Google search for "site:pickyourbible.com" (without the quotation marks, of course), I see that only your domain and one post are shared on Google's page one... all of the other links appear to be your Pinterest shares... except that last two...
Can you click on your sitemap and see the complete list of 20 or so posts that you have created?
So I did the search too and I see all of my post except for my latest one are there. Are you saying you can only see two?
Also I'm not sure what a pinterest share is lol, could you enlighten me?
When I did my search, yes, I only saw 2 posts on page 1. However, I ran this search again and got a much BETTER results, showing waaaaaay more posts.
If you have shared images from your posts on Pinterest, that would be Pinterest shared images and links back to your website IF done correctly.

Ok so I'm trying to add Google adsense to my website pages and I think I've got a decent grasp on how to do that. Normally I would go edit a page or post and click on the text
Hi - have you actually been accepted by Adsense, or have they just sent you the first piece of code to add?
They've just sent me the initial code. I signed up on monday and copy and pasted the code to a few sidebar widgets on some of my post but it still says I need to activate.
You need to remove those, it's not what you need to do. The easiest way is to install the "insert headers and footers" plugin. Once you have activated the plugin, you will see two boxes. Paste the code into the top box, the header box.
What this does, is allow Google to inspect your site to see if it is suitable. You won't see anything change. You will be notified by email as to whether you have been accepted or declined, this can take up to 3 weeks.
Bear in mind, they like to see a well-established site with around 30 posts and traffic.
Thanks! That actually helped a lot! I did download the plugin monday and put the source code in there but it didn't seem to work.
Google said it usually only takes a day to get approved so I thought it wasn't what I was suppose to do! I didn't realize it could take up to 3 weeks.

Don't forget to make sure that you have an advertising/affiliate disclaimer on each page/post where you want advertising to be displayed. Just insert a link to it after the 1st paragraph of your posts and when everything is in place, the ads will begin to appear.
I too thought it would take several weeks before everything started to happen, but as soon as I put the disclaimer and link to it, the ads started right away and took less that 2 days from the time that the codes were inserted. Make sure that you have plenty of content and keep adding more.
Awesome! So your saying create a post kinda like the privacy policy and just link that on each page I'm advertising?
What should be on the disclaimer?
I use widgets to pasts the code on my home page
To put it in the posts I turn to visual decide where exactly I want to add it and I paste it

I add an HTML widget on the sidebar.
I am not familiar with your theme
I thought you can add widgets to every theme
On your dashboard click appearance
then widget, choose HTML and decide where exactly you want it to appear on your site
