The Dumbest Thing To Do
Probably the dumbest thing you can do is not doing anything.
Trying
If you don't try, you won't achieve anything. Surely you can get a feeling of anxiety or resistance that is fighting you. You can lose motivation. But keep on trying.
Failing
We can also all fail at what we try to achieve. Children learn from failing. They fail.. for example by falling and they got to get up again and try again.
Learning
Failing is a natural part of the learning process. You learn by doing it again and again and again. In schools we nowadays brainwash people with the same information over and over and over again. Cognitive training works the same. If you ever visited a psychologue or other therapist they will also apply this technique.
Not Doing Anything
If you don't try anything, you won't fail. That is true. But you won't achieve anything either. Nor learn something from your experience. You will never become anything. All your dreams are for naught. You will keep on dreaming without trying and learning.
Anxiety
I learned something from the course on anxiety. If you feel anxiety from failing, the only remedy is to expose yourself for your fears. Teach your brain something else, something different. Showing that things are not as they may seem. Sure, you got hurt from falling, but you can actually stand up again. You didn't die.
The alarm bell within your brain is not correct and the alarm should be switched off when it is on. So what do they do with these patients? Put them back into the anxiety situation again and again and again to train the brain something new.
Conclusion
So what should you do? You should do something. Do what you want to achieve. Live after your dreams. Realize them. MAKE IT HAPPEN! That's the only way you will learn and experience and achieve!

Hi Steve,
Very good presentation and upbeat thoughts. I see the to do nothing brings stagnation. Then fears, anxiety and big mental blocks come. I try to do it especially when I don't want to. Thanks for the positive message.
