Why does the notifications ‘bell’ on the top menu often show a red number but when I check the notifications nothing is there?

Take a peek at your drop down menus.
First one - Select: View Unread.
Second - Change Options: Select desired notifications

Thank you but I previously deselected everything in the options, so why do the notifications Nell occasionally show that I have notifications?

Does Wealthy Affiliate own everything a subscriber creates (e.g. written content, ideas, websites) on the WA platform?
Hi - the only thing which is not your property would be the free SiteRubix websites. If you leave, you cannot move them, and they will eventually be deleted.
If you have a purchased .com domain hosted here, then that is your property to do with as you wish.
However, the free websites which are subdomains, and end with siterubix.com are not your property and cannot be transferred away from the WA platform.
If for any reason you and WA part company you are allowed to transfer your websites to another hosting company, like Go Daddy.
