SOS Addiction
Not Save Our Ship, but rather Shiny Object Syndrome.
As long as I can remember and that would be about 65 years (did I say that out loud), I have had SOS. It has caused me immeasurable difficulties. Except for finding the best Shiny Object in the Universe who is my wife and best friend it has been an absolute disaster.
Most recently it created problems in "getting my act together". When I found WA I KNEW I had hit on the correct path. But I could not leave well enough alone and follow the path set out by Kyle and Carson. No, I needed to "read more books", listen to more audio, purchase more programs, and well, I could go on forever. The end result.......................CRASH AND BURN!
I have now taken an oath to refrain from SOS FOREVER! If there was an SOS version of AA I would join immediately! But, in the absence of any organization like this I will need to rely on my will power (which is not always on call) to proceed. But they say half the battle of solving an addiction is admitting that there is a problem.
So there! It is out there before 600,000 (and growing) members of the WA community. I am an SOS addict!
Here is a toast (of water) to all of us who will do our best to get to the finish line.
All the best to everyone for a wonderful weekend.
Steve

Thanks Steve, I feel better about my failures hearing that superman also has difficulties. You just need to get rid of the kryptonite!
LMAO - Thanks, Jeff. But first I need to "remember" where I put the kryptonite! Probably next to my car keys!
Thanks for taking the time my friend!
Hi Steve. You coined your own addiction. Maybe you should start an SOS Anonymous group. Maybe you could make it part of your website. I salute you for recognizing and wanting to change. As I've said before...you are amazing.
Thanks, Jean! Yes, SOS International should be on the drawing board. Now, let me find and app for that.............oh, damn, there I go again!
Lol. Make your own app. Forge a path. You coined the disorder. Step out Steve. Found your own organization. It's your destiny!
And a never ending process Judy. But life is a journey, not a destination. Thankfully, we already know the destination!
Thanks, John. Hopefully, I can avoid falling into this pit in the future. But if you have a rope handy I ask that you keep it close by .......just in case I ask you to throw it to me!
Have a great weekend my friend!
