14 Day Disconnect Completed
I completely disconnected from all electronic media for two weeks. I experienced some fantastic self revelations and made some significant progress in several areas of my life. More to follow later today for those who might be interested.

Great and well done Steve.
I'll check back on the next instalment.
Yes I'm interested as to why you did it?
Cheers and thanks, Tosh :)
Thanks, Tosh. More tomorrow.
The "reason" I did it was I want to step back and take a look at my life from a different perspective without any outside distractions. I was quite amazed at what happened.
Two weeks away from electronic media is, indeed, quite a feat in today's world. If I disconnected for that long, I would not be able to pay the bills. My income is directly proportional to my online activity.
Douglas - My life is also connected to the electronic media interface, but I felt the financial sacrifice was worth the experience.
That is an interesting exercise. Was there a particular reason for you doing this? Did you go through withdrawal (serious question!)?
What was the hardest thing to deal with during your sabbatical?
Welcome back.
Steve
PS Going bed now, bit late.
Sounds exciting! I'd like to be way out of nowhere, disconnected from electronic media. Unfortunately I run two online businesses (Airbnb and my Shopify e-store) so it may be difficult.
I understand that completely. No everyone can do this but perhaps sharing some of my thoughts will help others. More tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time Karin.
Thanks, John - I will be working tonight and tomorrow on what has happened in two weeks with disconnecting from my electronic devices. It was a quite unbelievable experience which I would like to share with everyone in several posts tomorrow.
It's funny how people take things for granted these days. I'm not sure how they would react with a totally unprepared disconnect from their electronics. I'd be interested to know if the quality of your sleep was improved.
