My experience with WA for the last 4 months!

Hey guys, so it's been 4 months I've discovered Wealthy Affiliate through Jerry Huang. I was looking for a program that would get me to earn money online, while doing something I like. I can say that my experience with WA has been great, even though I had a lot to learn concerning my efficiency.

My progress so far

I created a blog a few weeks after starting the program. You might want to check it out, simply click here (don't hesitate to leave comments, it will be very appreciated). In the last 3 months, I've written 6 articles (plus one about me and my project). It's very few, but as I'm moving forward in the program and set my goals, I'm learning to get more efficient. Out of those 6 articles, 3 of them were written in the last two weeks, something I'm really proud of. I'm also finishing the Level 2 of the Online Entrepreneur Certification training. I'm so excited as I know I'll learn many other things.

The niche I'm working within

I'm currently working on African excellence in general and more specifically in my area (Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City). I started by attending events that promoted African and Black culture. Now I'm more focusing on unlearning the stereotypes we, as Westerners and more importantly African-descent people, have internalized through the media and destroy our misconceptions about Africa and its culture in general.

My successes

Apart from the progress I was able to make so far, I may say that the successes that I had been able to reach were how I managed to learn a lot about my own culture. Before writing my blog, I thought I knew a lot about Africa, but I got to see that it's not really the case lol. Another success I think I have reached is how my friends and acquaintances seem interested about my topic. Like me, African wealth is something they've always wanted to know more about, but couldn't because the platforms in Canada are not accessible online yet and young people are more on Internet than ever, so I feel there's this need I'm meeting among the African, or Black in general, diaspora youth.

My plans in the upcoming 3 (and 6) months

My plans in the upcoming 3 months are to write more articles on the subjects that captivate the African-Caribbean diaspora in my region or even curious people about the African-descent culture, start monetizing my blog, and create more connections. To see these plans accomplished, I will have to learn to become more disciplined and less distracted by social media, useless events, and people who would try to bring me down or underestimate my capacities.

In the upcoming 6 months, I'm planning to become a renowned ambassador of the African-Caribbean culture in my community, and even in my region. I'm super confident that I can do this!

This is an interesting and great project Steve.

I'm beginning to see this trend for those in the many different diaspora communities wanting to know more about our culture - including me.

I love to read about our culture and history. I find it fascinating.

I have taken a quick look at your website and bookmarked it so I can revisit and leave a comment.

You sound like you have a great plan, so all that is left for me to say is, stick to it, and you will be successful!

Best wishes!

Thank you very much Jackie. Indeed it has become something important especially in this globalization era to know what is our identity and be able to relate to it as much as we can.

You're welcome Steve.

This is an awesome undertaking for a person to realize that they didn't know what they thought they knew and to acknowledge that then to drive forward, vowing to learn what they did not know.

I applaud you, Steve!

While I don't identify with the African culture, I identify with your mission.

My family heritage is Native American. At age 52, this past October, I went to their annual "Gathering of the People" and began to learn about where I'm from. I only had two days to visit. This coming October, I'm going to participate in the entire week-long event to do exactly what you are doing... to learn as much as I can about my heritage (not so much lineage for me) and culture so I can further embrace that aspect of my life.

Anyway, this was just to say that to understand one's people is to understand one's self.

May your search for knowledge be gratifying, fulfilling and unending.

Thank you! It's an awesome initiative you have taken to learn more about your Native American heritage. We, as humans, all relate to knowing more about our culture, as I believe it is very important to move forward in this world where many cultures meet together.

It's great you have a plan. Stick to it...I think you'll find the results you're looking for.

I think you can do it too! You sound like you've been putting in a lot of hard work

Cool, great to see you have a plan moving forward. Keep at it and you will find success. Sounds like you are passionate!

Welcome Steve. You have a great Mentor in Jerry. I hope you continue to move forward and I wish you all the best in 2019.

Just keep moving forward and you will achieve success.

Dale

Wishing you the best of luck Steve. Go for it!
