Being Mediocre is Insulting

Before reading this blog, be sure to read Is Your life Mediocre?

If you care about your online business and your life, then being mediocre should be insulting to you. I hope I do not come across as being too strong or too intense here. But, if want to change, it must be important to you. If it is important, then I know you will change. If it is important, you will make it a priority. If it is important, you will face your deepest fears. If it is important, you will no longer continue to make excuses. I know I personally am guilty of making excuses. I have had some health issues and as a result lots of medical appointments and I have been using my health as an excuse to not put in as much effort as I should be. But I am working on changing that.

When something is truly, deeply critical to you, you will find a way to make it happen, even when others are telling you otherwise. Do not listen to the nah-nah people in your life. I know I have some of those in my life and I keep them at an arm's distance away.

If it is not important enough to you, then you will not do anything. You will continue to sit on the couch and binch-watch your favorite TV show. You will continue doing exactly what you are doing now. Being mediocre is easy. And yes, people generally take the easy route. Anybody can do it. And most people are doing it. Below is an example of what most people are like.......

Following your passion and being crazy enough to try and change the world, and stand for something important are all difficult to do. So most people are mediocre. They are boring and uninspiring. They have not made people care enough about what they are doing and what they stand for. I mean really care. The kind of care that you feel within your bones. The kind of care that you get it tattooed to your body (Okay, I am not saying go out and get a tattoo unless that is your passion).

I hope I have not offended anyone. It is my intent to motivate everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate to make some positive changes in their lives.

Here at Wealthy Affiliate is where it all begins and your life and business will change forever. Cheers,

Steph

Thank you Steph for the rousing words.

It is good to hear things like this, then you start thinking about what is really important in life. To take distance from people who have a negative attitude is essential - but not always easy.
Yes, let's follow our passion and try to make the best of our abilities - always do our best!

Now I will do some trainings and take a step further towards my independency!

Wish you a "crazy" day!
;-)

Great post, I have to change my ways too!
cheers,
william

Thank you William. We all could use some improvement.

Great article. Nice kick in the pants. Smile.
I think I will book mark this for inspiration when I am feeling lost.
Have a great day
Linda

That is my hope Linda. That my WA blogs will inspire you and as you said, give you "kick in the pants" because I will admit it, I sometimes need a kick in the pants too. :)

We all do.

Yes we do. That is what makes WA a great place to be for inspiration and help.

Hi Steph,
I really hate the idea of being mediocre. I think the best attitude in life is to be honest with ourselves and stop making excuses. Discipline and focus are necessary to be good at anything.
Erica

Hi Erica:

You and I are much alike, because I too despise the idea of being mediocre because I have always know that I am the mindset to do whatever I want. I am competitive, but I also care about everyone else whom I come into contact with, either online or in person, and I want them to also have the same philosophy as me.

Steph

Well said Steph and ditto. I've always been competitive but not at the expense of taking advantage of others. Integrity is extremely important to me and I enjoy knowing I've been able to help someone out.

It just measures to a single focus...dedicated to the intent of one's purpose and niche...

Dedicated to the intent of one's purpose as you said. Thank you for reading. I am sure you are very dedicated and will get there.

Excellent

Thank you! Much appreciative.

I know a couple people like the one in the pic, so sad.

I too know some people that are just like that and I stay away from them, because being around them will only bring me down to their level and I am not going there.

A little story I can share with you -- my ex-husband is just like that guy in the photo and that tells you WHY he is my EX-spouse. :) I did not know what a lazy slug he was until I married him. I was young - 22 years old at the time - and I thought I knew what I was doing.....Turns out - WRONG! :)

Thanks and "talk" or rather communicate with you later!! :)

Yeah, we all make mistakes, learning and not repeating them is the key to happiness & success.

thanks for sharing ..

You are welcome.
