Increase conversions by narrowing focus?
I'm 35 posts in with a combo of informational and review type articles. I'm averaging 1.5k page views now and the site is 5 months old.
I'm at a point where I can start to easily to interlink posts for better browsing through the site and that makes me excited.
Being smart about conversions
Although my niche is pretty specific, the products I've linked to are still spread out and I've gotten 0 conversions.
I've set my expectations to acknowledge that 35posts is really nothing in the world of blogging, but as a newbie with a type A personality, I'm never waiting to perfect my strategies
Narrowing focus might help
After reading that a buyer needs to see a product an average of about 7 different times before purchasing, I thought I would commit to a specific type of product for 2 months.
Every week I write 2 posts. So I am writing an informational post and a review type post every week. The informational posts are directly related to the specific review post.
I'm focusing on subscription boxes from CrateJoy and I'm at the end of week 2. Once I've completed this idea I'll have 8 round up posts specifically related to CrateJoy subscriptions and 8 informational posts related to the subscription theme.
Do you have feedback?
Has anyone done this with success? I think this is a good strategy as it'll make me more of an authority on a specific brand while increasing the number of times my readers come across it in on my blog.
Have a nice weekend and keep on blogging!

Sounds like a great plan Stephanie. I look forward to hearing how it works out? It makes good sense and logic!

thanks, I think so too. I will keep everyone updated on if I get any conversions after 2 months of focusing on CrateJoy.
Thanks. I feel like I need a routine. Throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks has me pulling my hair out. I think I’ll continue this process with other related products too.
Personally with only 4 months under my belt i'm learning from you.
I never thought of it but it sounds logical.

Some people have waited a lot longer for conversions.

True that! I know I’m in the early days. Hopefully this feeling of ants in my pants will propel me forward.
