PLEASE Backup Your Site!
I know PaulGoodwin posted about this exact topic recently: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/paulgoodwin/blog/w... but because it's so important, I'd like to echo what he said.
There are so many ways to back up your website but I prefer to use a plugin called Updraft Plus. I'm pretty certain there is training on how to install it, too.
So, please, WAers, if you haven't got an automated backup system in place right now, DROP EVERYTHING and get it done!

Note: with all the warnings and info about this topic, I went ahead and did another backup this morning.
From my past experiences the more talk the more action needed.
Holidays are coming quick so do not get your site lost in translation.
I use WP Clone by WP Academy to back up mine every week and it hasn't failed me yet. I even tried to use it on my test site then used the backup to import back in which worked fine.
I completely agree that we need to back up our sites to save the hard work that we do.
Thanks,
Shane
Sure, Gomer. Whatever tool you want. The point is you should do regular, automated backups.
Your absolutely right Stephen. I found that out yesterday. I was working on my WA review and this being Brasil the power went out. Needless to say I had to do a 2000 word rewrite.
Stephen, you only ever need to have one such experience to know how important backups are.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
That's a daily backup. You should always back up your site whenever you apply an update or make any big changes. You can't do that manually with WA backups.
With a backup plugin, you can set automated backups for twice or even three times a day, if you want.
Good advice. I backed up one of my websites hosted outside of WA, and will do the same with my sites here. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for reminder but reading the earlier post given by Paul, I had backed up and I used Updraftplus. Thanks.
Excellent! My post was really just an echo of what Paul posted.
