Christmas Lunch
We're very lucky, here at WA. We have members from all around the world. Some live in very cold climates and others, not so cold.
Some members have been kind enough to post some beautiful photos of the winter wonderland in which they live. I'm envious of the snow and getting all wrapped up!
For those who live in the Northern Hemisphere and who are used to a white Christmas, I would imagine that your Christmas fare is quite traditional. Perhaps you always have turkey, ham, etc. Perhaps you serve eggnog; maybe even mead?
But for those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere, particularly we Antipodeans, Christmas is usually blisteringly hot. Christmas, for us, is synonymous with beaches, barbies (that's colloquial for Barbecue) and playing cricket outside with the kids.
A lot of us don't do the traditional hot lunches but prefer cold cuts. Personally, though, I'm very much for tradition. I love a good feed, complete with the Christmas pud and lashings of custard!
I'd love to hear from all of you; your family traditions for Christmas lunch. We have such a diverse array of cultures represented here, so go on - do share!

I to am down under in Brasil. We will have a Brasilian Christmas meal. They are not big on turkey. (To dry) They eat salt cod which I find very interesting. Probably comes from the old Portuguese sailors when they came across the Atlantic. We are all so different and yet all the same.
You would love my Christmas dinner buddy,
Shrimp salad, shrimp skewers, Prime rib, Ham Turkey, Rolls and Mash potatoes with vegetable's and Deserts from everywhere.
Merry Christmas
