Not Receiving Test Emails in Inbox

Hi everyone! I have a little problem...

I wrote out a series of emails and sent a test email to my inbox. I got a message saying "Success" meaning the email was sent.

However, when I looked in my inbox, the email wasn't there. I have tried using 2 different emails and checked in Spam, but still no joy.

Does anyone know the answer to this?

If you do, kindly advise.

Thanks!

In Gmail, you can look in send folder, on the left column -if it’s there then forward the test email back to your email inbox. Look at the equal sign on left side then scroll down, you will see sent messages, check there. If it was sent it would show in that folder.

Exactly, where are you sending these emails to and where are you sending these emails from? To your inbox here? Did you check your spam box?

Oh hi Kyle!

I sent the emails from Aweber as Follow Up series to my gmail inbox. I have already checked my spam box...Sorry for the delay in replying!!

I've messaged Aweber about this as well.

Hi Stella, which systems are you using please? Where from and where to?

Hi Richard,

I'm using Aweber Follow up series to do a drip campaign over 30 days.

I tested one message and it was fine - sent it to Stella@cleareczemanaturally.com.

Then I tested it from Aweber and got a message back saying the message was sent. However, when I checked my gmail inbox, the message was nowhere to be found.

I also checked the email by sending it from the optin page on my Eczema site. I used Thrive Leads and the message came back saying it was sent. Used a different gmail and still no joy.

I've used Aweber to send messages before so know how to use it. This is rather puzzling.

OK... so it sounds as if you're getting the same result from 2 different sources when sending to Gmail. Have you checked that Gmail is receiving OK?

I've messaged Catherine (another WA member) and she mentioned that Gmail blocks test emails sent. Normal emails are fine.

The only thing is I'm not sure whether a person with a Gmail account will receive my emails...

Hi Stella
You can change the level of blocking (security) in gmail.
If yours is set at the highest level that can cause unwanted results (for the user.
Later today I’ll set one up for testing. Sorry I can’t get to computer until later.
:-)
Richard
