Game Changing Speech to Text
Well July seemed to be a really dry month and I found it hard to keep to my self-made promise of publishing 2 posts a day. I could not come up with enough subjects.
Or so I thought... Enter Google Docs Speech to Text Software. I discovered it yesterday while watching a Youtube video. It is very simple to use and FREE! All I did was open Google Docs, click on Tools and select Speech to Text (Voice Typing).
A picture of a microphone appeared on screen and I just clicked on it and started speaking from memory. It worked like a charm and I took only half an hour to produce a 1500 word document. And that was after editing it..
To say I am chuffed is an understatement. I am utterly sold and amazed at how much time and energy I can save using this. Speech to text software is truly a game changing experience. Phew!!
In the internet world, time equals money and if you can find cost effective ways to save time as you implement output and conversion strategies, you will save money and also make it.
Tell me what you think!

That is cool. Amazing what technology brings. For me it will be the opposite problem. I will have to use American Sign Language on a video then close caption the video into English. That is just for video. As for texts. I need to type it out then run it through Grammarly or Hemingway Editor for clarity. English is my second language. I use this speech to text technology for videos that are not closed captioned also for communicating with people who can hear and talk. I talk with my hands.
Hi Brenda
I have always been so fascinated with sign language, it's something I shall have to learn in my lifetime. I think it stems from being deaf in one ear and whilst I know that is not totally deaf, put me in a crowded room and I simply cannot keep up with a conversation.
How would you recommend I go about learning sign?
Blessings always
Louise
Hi Louise, you could take an online sign language class, not sure where you are from. If you're not in the United States check with your local country sign language. You mentioned you are raised in South Africa? They have South Africa Sign Language. Different from our American Sign Language. Every country have their own sign language.
I have been using Dragon for speech to text for quite a while and it does make a tremendous difference to the amount of work I complete.

I'm definitely going to try this out Stella. I need to increase my blog production ratio with the limited time I have available. I'm hoping this is the answer. Jim
Hope it works for you.
I gave it a test trial today. It's brilliant.
Nice one!
