A Saturday For Singing.

As I've worked out a PPC campaign this week, I thought I needed a break...

So at 5pm today I whipped out some CDs of Lauryn Hill, Enya, Michael W Smith, Israel Houghton, Sam Sparrow, Shalamar, Adlan, etc, and had a monologue of dancing and singing all on my own.

Luverly...And I can sing so didn't sound like a wailing cat...!

I should do this more often, only I tend to keep quiet for 2 months at a time to save my voice. Can't wait for this pandemic to completely die down so I can get back to my choirs...

Does anyone else on here sing? I know this sounds off the topic from what we affiliate marketers do on here, but than that can only be a good thing can't it?

Workaholics should give vent to their little Super hero within now and then...Otherwise we might as well be all made of plastic...

Hobbies are important for a balanced life. It is true that with this pandemic we had to narrow our world to very few things. Yes, I sing opera and I coach opera singers who have vocal cord problems. I miss being able to share my passion with my friends again.

Ingrid

That's interesting Ingrid, one of my friends is an opera singer and has acid reflux...she's tried everything...

I've suggested she has less sugar and meat in her diet. So she's gone ahead and juices 3 fruit types for breakfast.

From one extreme to the other!

Ah well, at least she's trying...She hasn't been able to travel and continue singing live during this time...more's the pity...There must be lots of people going through this right now.

I joined 2 choirs in January and February, but only managed one concert til lockdown hit....Hence me singing at home...can't wait to get back...

And at church we now have to wear masks and are not allowed to sing...? Grr!

I always wished I could sing Stella, but alas my voice sounds like someone stepping on a cat's tail. I am better off dictating for my WA posts than attempting to even humm. God bless you Stella you just keep on singing, wished I lived next door and could listen.

Joe

You know it's funny, but I grew up thinking everyone could sing!

I owe it to my parents who played classical music in the early morning when I was very young. It tuned my ears...and I used to practice singing in the living room to all the vinyl records we had.

I was selected to be in a travelling choir by the age of 9 and have been singing in choirs since.

So I really feel for people who can't sing...It's just not on....

Don't mean to make you feel bad.

Yes, you should really be next door!

What a wonderful thing to do, Stella!

Jeff

Anything's wonderful when locked behind closed doors..

I mean with the extension of lockdown in England - we are either alone or meeting in groups of 6 indoors.

This is getting to be real boring! Hence making moves to counteract the boredom...Chloe Ting's Youtube workouts are fun too...

Finally getting rid of the spare tyre round the middle...

Awesome use of your time, Stella!

Jeff

Singing is wonderful Stella. Apparently I do it all the time without realising it.
Singing is really uplifting so very good for you.

That's interesting Linda - you sing without realising it? That's a new one to me...

I sing on purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose! And always have a melody going on in my head. It was real fun today - playing on the piano as well...

Tomorrow I'll be back to the grind working on a new bridge page for quizz marketing purposes. I've just found out about them....

Life is going to get real interesting from here on in...

I sing deliberately at times because it makes me feel good and for the sheer joy of living.
But sometimes I am busy focused on swhat I am doing and a family member will point out I am singing to myself. Ooops.

Oh dear...I've made a promise to myself that I'll only marry someone who can sing...

I'm not a good person to be around if I don't sing - not grumpy, but when I feel the urge to have a good sing song, they need to be understanding of that.

Only another singer will appreciate this!

Sorry to hear you have a family member who brings you up short..They should join in!

Oh no, it's not to stop me, it's because it makes her laugh.
It's my 82 year old stepmother and it reminds her of her mother who lived with her, who used to hear me singing to myself and say I was a happy little soul.
She sings to herself too and has the radio on a lot with older songs on that have great lyrics. She dances to them too, whether someone is there or not and calls it her exercise. At that age she can still dance far longer than the rest of us.Lol.

Ain't that sweet!

Dancing is a great way to have fun and exercise at the same time!

That's great.

Thank you...I totally agree...
