Facebook comments for my landing page WA review

Hi everyone, I have a little problem here. I created a landing page for my review and I can't include the usual comment that we give and take through site comments.

I don't know why, but the only type of comment I can get for this page is via a Facebook or Disqus account. So, I'll be more than happy to exchange comments with you. Just post the article you want a comment from me.

Here is my page http://myroomismyoffice.com/wealthy-affiliate-scor...

Thank you very much!

You can't accept normal comment because you are using a Thrive landing page dude. You can use Thrive with standard comments but not within a fully custom landing page like that. I know this because I have Thrive myself. I am assuming you are using Thrive anyway.

Hi Tim! That's true, I didn't know that. Thrive is great, but that's the only negative point that I see... I just don't know if it's worth abdicating of all the comments I got to have a better layout

Hey Stefan,

I personally wouldn't no. But you don't need to either. You can use thrive within the standard WordPress page template and keep the comments. Check out my site, I use Thrive on almost every page nowadays. But some pages are 100% Thrive landing pages, which will remove the ability to use WP comments.

So, you could use a full-width WordPress template for example and use the Thrive Content Builder within that. This would be better too because you are isolating people from the rest of your site unnecessarily with your current setup. Not sure if this makes sense lol but the bottom line is it's possible to have the best of both worlds here, just takes some mucking around.

Thank Tim, I don't like much the normal full-width, I prefer the normal page with the side bar. The thing is, when I revert my landing page to theme template, the sidebar disappears and I can't find the option to get it back. It's only full-width now... do you know how to solve this?
thanks a lot!

Don't worry I finally find a way. Cheers

Depends on your theme dude, I uses StudioPress/ Genesis and it allows you to select the layout by default and change it on a page by page basis. SO you could use a full width for landing pages you want comments on and sidebar for the rest.

Sounds like you've got it covered now though, all the best with it moving forward :)

Stefan,

Don't know why you can't get comments. Is it published or marked as private or excluded at all?

Sorry, I know my comments below isn't what you're after, but just helping a bro out with a little polish on a already great post. Sorry, I won't be adding comments to the post because of having to log into facebook first, but that's a personal thing and no reflection on your site.

I really, really like your landing page. Want to write one for me? lol. I think it should convert well. It's well laid out and personal. Oh, did I say I liked it :) It's obvious your training has paid off.

Hi Sam, don't worry about that, I understand that Facebook is a personal thing, and not everyone has an account dedicated to business.

I really appreciate your help and positive feedback. I wish this review converted better, though. :p

When I click the button to login so I can post a comment, the page comes up as "Sorry, this page isn't available
The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed." I can still log in to facebook through the top bar but when the page says that, I might have walked away without logging in.

hmm, It happened to me as well. I think it's working if you are already logged in.

Your wealthy affiliate links open the WA website in the same tab. I think sometimes that is ok and other times it should open the WA website in a separate tab. For instance, the first link you come to is "Website: wealthyaffiliate.com" If I clicked on that link first without reading your review yet, I would still expect to read your review after I first saw what the signin looked like.

Thank Sam, I highly appreciate your tips. I have removed the link that I thought would take to my WA profile.
I've changed this review so many times lol

The "here is my profile" link at the bottom goes to the login/signup page and not to your profile. I would have expected to see a writeup about you instead of having to sign up first.

Missing a space here "this dream,go for it"
