Your site is actually pretty nice. A lot of good content and it visually looks nice. I do agree with BCollins. My eye kept getting distracted by all of the yellow About Me areas. My personal opinion is that most people don't go searching for the website owner. They are looking for solutions to their problems. If they like what you are talking to them about, then they may try to find out more about you. I put my About Me link at the bottom of my pages. I would look into what Nathan is telling you about. He is very knowledgeable.

Good Luck!

Thanks FrankieCat, I took the plugin out so it should be less distracting. Much obliged :)

I tried to be someone random just looking at your site and I noticed that I see that "about Nada" so many times just on the main page in yellow. Maybe it's too much? And the top of your site is a bit plain maybe you could make a nice custom logo. I had the same problem and after looking at a lot of other sites I realized I definately needed a logo or photo up top. But the about Nada is most distracting, sorry hope you don't take that the wrong way! It's good besides that :)

Oh no, no offence taken at all. Are you referring to the yellow boxes after each post? I see the about Nada boxes but only as they are attached to the individual posts-is that what you are referring to?

I was on my phone and if you look that way there is aot of them. on a desktop its not as bad. I looked both ways to see, but I like Frankie Cats suggestion :)

Thanks a bunch, I followed both your suggestions and removed the plug in-)

You need to look at which pages are dropping people off. I can see that a large amount of folks are landing on your home page, then leaving. Where are they coming from to land on your home page?

Is this organic traffic from Google or social media traffic? If it's social media, people might just come to read and leave. IF it's organic, they might be more inclined to read and follow up with whatever pages you're linking.

Also, look at your CTAs on the dropoff pages and where they lead. On your versus-job page, does it link directly to WA or to your WA review. If it links directly to WA, then dropping off the page is normal.

Here's a good webinar from Jay: Ending Your Bounce Rate Nightmare

Thanks Nathan, I'll look at those things asap

Oh, and a ton of traffic to your home page might be bots. Watch the YouTube video in this post: Sessions or hits from russia? and see if they are russian bots that are hitting your home page, in which case drop offs aren't your fault.

Nothing is visible. But I entered your site and what I see is that many letters are missing in your text, so it is unreadable. Do you see it correctly?

Yes I do, I'm using Safari, also checked on Chrome and Internet Explorer and it shows no missing letters. What Browser are you using please?

Mozilla

I tried with Chrome, it does not look good. It is also slow but this can be from my side. Check your site from some other computers.

Yes I did check Chrome and IE as well, the letters are visible if not a little pale

I can't really see anything

Okay I have improved the pic, thanks Mwilly :)

Please note nothing is readable, nobody can help this way. Be specific. Jovo

Ok, uploading the image again. Thanks

My about me page shows up like this in Google:http://take.ms/vTPBx..how do I fix that please?

Looks like your permalinks are not set correctly. It says %blogt_title%, but it should say %blog_title% (no extra 't'). If that doesn't work, try %blog-title%

Permalink settings are in Settings > Permalinks

Either that, or your All in One SEO pack isn't set up correctly, or not activated.

Ok, thanks Nathaniell, I will check again, just as long as it's not a big deal

Not quite sure what you mean by your about me page showing up in Google. Are you trying to search for it?

yes, when I check my site ranking in google, it shows for my contact and about me page something like: about me/%blogt_title%,

Can you give us the URL of your site? That might help show us why it would do this.

http://Http://stayathomewow.com, here you go

Sorry, I've been away on vacation the past week. Were you able to correct the permalink like Nathaniel suggested? Did it correct the problem?

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well. I would like to know how to remove the robot.txt from my site so the contents will be indexed in google. I get the message every time I

Ok, so I tried changing all the things listed below-unchecking, it turns out the site is indexed but not Upon further investigation this is what my robots.txt says according to Google:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
So my website shows up but underneath it says this: "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt"
and my contact page looks like this:
Contact/%blogt_title%-stay at home wow.
Huh?? I have no clue, are these two things related. Help, pls.

If that's all that's in your robots.txt file, the search engines should have no problem with it.

There is a comment from nathaniell regarding your SEO plugin (assuming you've installed an SEO plugin?). There are several available. I'm using All-In-One SEO on my site. It has a section for managing your robots.txt file. If you have that or a similar plugin installed, it will check your robots.txt file for you. But from what you've said so far, I don't think that is your problem.

Where are you getting this error message regarding a description not available? Is it in Google webmaster tools or somewhere else? If it's not one of the standard search engines you might just need to add a line to allow whatever it is to read your site.

Ray I'm getting that when I use the site rubix site health at the bottom it has a link to check if site is indexed. I am indexed but getting the results: "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt"
and my contact page looks like this:
Contact/%blogt_title%-stay at home wow.
I have the all in one sep and haven't changed any settings. I even added in Google and Bing Webmaster today and it still says the same thing.

I don't use SiteRubix so I'm afraid I can't give you an exact solution. I suspect the robots.txt file needs a line adding spcifically for SiteRubix but I don't know exactly what the instruction would be.

Have you checked the robots.txt file using all-in-one SEO?

Hopefully someone else here will be able to help. if not I suggest contacting Kyle or Carson.

Thanks Ray.

I'm not even going to pretend I know the solution to your problem. One of these tech savvy contributors will know the answer, and I will file it away for future reference.

Lol thanks mwilly-I feel exactly the same way :)

My Seo (the No index portion ) have these checked:
1.Use noindex for Categories:
2.Use noindex for Author Archives:
3.Use noindex for Date Archives:
The rest are unchecked should I change any of these or is the problem different?
Thanks

Hi Nada

Here is a short video training that will give you a better insight into this issue. If it seems too technical watch the same video over a few times and you will understand it.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-index-with-google-the-easy-way

I had no idea either at the start but now its easy.

Pauric, Thank you so much for the video. It has helped me a lot with setting up webmaster tools. And that Tommy is sheer awesomeness. :)

I think your issue might be with your SEO settings. Not sure if you are using Yoast or AIO SEO.

Who did what now? lol. I have no idea either sorry

You don't need to remove it. Just make sure the pages you want indexed are not listed as no index in robot.txt.
If anything you are probably better off keeping a robot.txt file on your site. The search engines will expect to see it there.

That sounds like great advice RayWhittaker, thanks. Now any idea how I can fix it. Ie ensure the pages I want indexed are? Thanks in advance
