I have been jumble brained last couple of days, messing up on some the work I was doing on my website.

How do I get my brain jumbled up?

I am not sure but the results are the same, confusion and chaotic.

If you google the meaning of "jumble," you will get the following result, from Oxford dictionary.

Working on my website for days in a row, I got unfinished posts, old posts to be updated, emails to write, Pinterest pins to design and ebook to write.

My brain jumble up the contents and pages of my ebook were overwritten, links confused and post incomplete with links and SEO information confused.

Have you ever had this jumble brain experience?

😴😴😴

Heck, I even fell asleep while writing the ebook on the computer.

Lots to do but the brain not cooperating.

So, I am taking the day off.

Rest well, my friends, taking a rest today.

Stanley, that was your problem. You were overworked. Our bodies will only go so long without proper rest before they start telling us to stop what we are doing and rest. That's why we make mistakes. We don't rest enough. We all want success, but if we don't take time out for rest and relaxation, then we will eventually fall on our faces from exhaustion. Just my experience of what happened to me.

Take care
Charlotte

Thanks Charlotte. Will need to get that rest.

That's exactly what you need, a Reset! I know cause I get jumble brained too so I totally understand.

You're working yourself so hard trying to get things rolling that you start doing several things at a time and not completing tasks one at a time.

That's when we have to take a step back from the computer and all computer like devices and rest. So definitely take time off you'll feel so much better when you come back to it and the jumbles will be gone.

Then you'll have to work on a plan to put everything that needs to get done into tasks and conquer them one task at a time and try not to get distracted into doing other tasks before completing the one that you're on.

Organization is the key and that reminds me, I've got some organizing to do myself.

Enjoy your time off.

Reset and reboot. Needed that. 🙏 thanks.

Hi Stanley,
I can relate to the feeling of "jumble", not even with the right things I do on the site, but with everyday life. I am going to get strict with my hours and stop doing too many things at once.

Your idea with exercise is really a good idea, let me do it, organize my day and get myself out of the "jumble" too, I am sure that you soon will be fine again.

You are right, Nerina. Can happen to all parts of life. Resting and doing something else to refreshed.

Hi Stanley,

I have been there, done that, and bought truckloads of imaginary T-shirts while in those twilight zones of the brain function.
Root cause with me is that I can manage with 4-5 hours of sleep, but if I get 8-9 hours, my well-being and performance go through the roof in comparison.

To keep the right amount of sleep coming consistently, I need to burn enough energy during the day. My experience is that pretty much any kind of exercise will help quite a bit in that.
Just one hour walk in the lush park will work miracles for me, even though it isn't physically exhausting.

If I don't burn the energy after one good night's sleep, I will quickly fall back to 4-5 hours in the following night, because energy is still there.
"I don't feel sleepy yet, and there is this, and that thing to do still...", a line of thought is pretty standard self-talk in those nights, and before you know it, the sun is about to rise.

Above leads to the importance of having routines in place.
Sleeping enough, eating well (healthy stuff, vitamin supplements, and minimizing sugars), alongside exercising, would keep me out of the fog.
Compromise the routine, and latest in a couple of weeks, brain fog is guaranteed companion.

I guess being able to follow a regimented and healthy schedule while being your own boss is one of those great victories in life.

Kind regards,

Aki

Thanks for sharing, Aki. Interesting that you relate the sleep quality with exercise. I will try the daily exercise. Something I need to do more.

Hi! Been there - done that! AND; I KNOW I'll do it again - and again! :-)

My late Grandfather had a solution. If you are struggling with something, go for a walk and give yourself time to relax away from the problem.

Personally, I do some of my best 'creating' either just before going to sleep or immediately upon waking - so I always keep a pencil and paper to hand - just in case!

Sounds like you've done the right thing though; I hope it works for you! :-)

As a matter of fact, I've not written anything for a few days now - been busy at home - but its given me time to think - really think - and this morning I started 'fleshing out' an idea I've been toying with for a while now.

I KNOW its going to make a great website. :-)

All the best
George.

Thanks for the tip, George. I will rest today and take a walk tomorrow to recharge.
