Are You Trying To Make Everything Perfect Before Taking the First Step
One of our personality trait is perfectionism.
Do you have such a trait?
Do you want things to be perfect before doing anything?
When I started my first business venture, I wanted it to be perfect...
Was it perfect?
No! Trying to be perfect was creating problems.
Look at the flowers, all the petals are different.
Is there a perfect size?
Is it fair to expect every petal and flower to be of the same size and shape?
Is Perfect Expectations Preventing You From Taking Action?
Expectations of perfection only leads to inaction, frustration, disappointment and eventually an unhappy life.
I have observed many talented people fail to achieve anything significant in life because they keep waiting for things to be perfect.
That rarely happens...
Read the news... do we live in a perfect world?
Far from it!
The world we live in is imperfect and there will never be a time when everything is the way you want it to be.
The right time is NOW.
It does not matter when you start because results only come later.
The earlier you start, the better! Since we can’t reverse time,
NOW is the best time to take action.
It does not matter how unsure you are about your skills, your schedule, your abilities, your knowledge, or anything else, just start taking action on what you already know.
Keep improving with time. This is what all successful people do.
You do not need to BE the expert on day 1, you BECOME the expert over time.
You don't need to be perfect to make money and live a good life.
You just need to put in the hours and do work that's good enough consistently.
That's it.
Are You Ready To Be Successful?
Your audience in your niche, their problems, and their needs are the only things that should matter to your business.
Everything else is a distraction.
Stop holding yourself back because of useless things that have nothing to do with your success or failure.
This is just another form of procrastination.
Shed the doubts, and start taking action.
Success is waiting for you with open arms.
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” ―Dale Carnegie

This is my problem also.
People want high quality content and it is a challenge to meet those expectations.
My 9-5 (I want to leave) wants perfection all the time, so no mistakes are allowed. So maybe it's a habit?
Thank you for writing this article and using a rose to explain imperfection is a beautiful example.
I learned that quality content itself is subjective... so my benchmark has shifted from “perfect” to meeting the expectations of my niche audience.

Starting out it can be something that can definitely hold us back, Stanely.
Once we realize that we are not going to be that person that single handly is going to break the internet, the flood gates can open.
Better to get it out there than collecting dust on our hard drives.

WOW this message is really for me. I am a perfectionist or at least I think I am. I'm the one who wants to read everything, watch all the trainings before getting started. However, time is of the essence for me. I set goals and dead lines :) that I need to accomplish by a certain time. I finished the first phase of the training, now I'm on EOC training ( I think that's what you call it :) I need to finish up so I can start building my website. The more I watch the training the more excited I get. Wish me luck. I will build my site tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Stanley,
Thank you for this post, it was much needed for me. I realize that everyone starts off as a newbie, so lets just keep going, keep posting content and it will get easier over time.
We are like farmers, we have to tend to our crops for them to become what we want them to be. Same analogy for working on our website content to get our traffic.
Have a blessed day
Dee
Great point. You need to SOW to get the HARVEST!
